“Stopped by again for a weekday lunch - this time we had a Short Rib Grilled Cheese & an Old English Melt .......aaannnd of course the signature basket of chips with Balsamic Vinaigrette drizzle & sprinkled Parm. Could go there for nothing but the chips! But I must say both sandwiches were AWEsome! We made reservations since it was the Monday of Valentine's week but, although busy, the place wasn't slammed. Our server was attentive & everything came out in a timely fashion - love the ambience! Lot of dark wood & copper which lends to the historical feel or the venue (Inn goes back to 1763) - always enjoy stopping in! (still) Highly recommended!“
“The Altland House was the perfect choice for a hotel for my bridal party to stay during the weekend of my wedding. Our rooms were great. My husband and I stayed in room 30 and it was HUGE. Everyone was kind and considerate in answering my million questions leading up to the weekend. They even helped us host a brunch after our wedding in one of their private event spaces. I highly recommend eating and/or staying the night here!“
“My husband and I ate here last Thursday. From the outside it doesn't look like much and prior years it was a biker bar but now it's been updated and family friendly. We started with the fried sampler platter. It was loaded with onion rings, mushrooms, jalapeños poppers, and fried pickles. excellent and hot.My husband had the NY strip medium rare with salad and green beans. He enjoyed his meal also had a beer.I had the prime rib queen cut. Rare. The meat was little more cooked than I liked but the meat was seasoned well and tasted good. I had a salad and mashed potatoes with gravy. Our meals came out hot and in good time. Our server was on the spot. All in all a good time!“
“Stopped in for breakfast the other day and was impressed. Ham and cheese omelette was very good. Home fries were just right. Belgian waffle was a big hit also. Place had plenty of seating and firehouse memorabilia to look at. Our server was great. Will definitely return to sample more of the menu.“
“During Lent Season, we frequent Big Mike's Crabhouse on a Friday, typically late afternoon. We try to beat the crowd, as this restaurant is not that big, but the seafood is absolutely delicious! Service is always excellent!!!! Big Mike's is a very relaxed atmosphere! They are a BYOB, so you can bring your favorite adult beverages if you choose to do so!!! If you choose to have an entree, but do not wish to have the sides, they will adjust the price! I love their cod fish (2 pieces), but don't always want the French fries, etc., they will serve you just the fish and adjust your bill accordingly. The pound of shrimp is always cooked to perfection, we have our shrimp served with melted butter and cocktail sauce, so delicious!!! If you're in Hanover and love seafood, stop by!!!!“
“If there anyplace better in York or Adams county Pennsylvania I’d like to know where everything is great The Chef Culinary art institute of New York tops in American plus a Greek and a NaturalI really like their Alfredo sauce with pasta . Denise and Charlie are great people and owners always serve the best in food …. Love the place“
“A gem ! Great little coffee shop.Coconut key lime pie is delicious. Cappuccino was excellent and service with a smile. I highly recommend. Nice selection of muffins. Also offers gluten free selections. If I’m ever in the area again I will stop “
“Service was great considering how crowded the place was. The waitress was quick and attentive. My dissapointment came in the misrepresented chicken Chesapeake. I asked for no cheese, not a big deal, when it came out with cheese I asked to have it fixed. No problem, it came back out with no cheese. Now it's naked crab meat on a chicken breast. I asked the sender who delivered it where is the imperial sauce ? The menu says it has it ? He took it back to the kitchen, came back out and said this is how they make it. Well the menu says it has imperial sauce on it ? Which is one of the yummy ingredients I was expecting. False advertising.... I'd try the place again, just wish the menu was correct.“
“This is a very nice place with amazing service. Our waiter, Craig, was attentive, polite, and friendly. The owner, Paula, greeted us and told us a little about this family run business. I had the chicken skewers, and they were delicious. My SIL had pizza and loved it. When we went in, there was a sign saying they were short-handed and to please be patient. I didn't think the wait for service or food was bad at all, so they were surely doing a good job of keeping up on things. I would recommend checking them out!“
“We stopped in for our lunch and the food was great! We had the liver and onions, that the liver was so easy to cut with a knife. We also got the broastwd chicken and it was so moist! And we took dessert home to eat. The waitress was amazing. She was friendly and very cheerful and made our visit wonderful. We will come back again!“
“First time here and we will definitely be back!! This place was suggested by a lovely lady at the Yesteryear Antique Center. We are from Maryland and know where THE Best crabcakes are from so we had to try Dutch Country's Crab Cake since the menu says --You have never had any like theirs! And YES, my hubby and I agree--They were fantastic!! The menu is very big, even the pickiest eater will find something they want!Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp on 1 side of the doors.“
“This is our fourth time at Sidney. Each time has been unique and fantastic! I had the monkfish upon recommendation of our server (who was awesome) and it was beyond my expectations. I'm just sorry we don't live closer. We will be back the next time we are in Gettysburg!“
“My husband I went here today in hopes to have a nice lunchtime meal. They tried sitting us at a super tiny high top table that was smashed up against an older couple at a low top table and we asked for another table in which they accommodated (my husband is 6'2 and 250lbs).Had a wonderful waitress who was attentive and refreshing.Ordered the tuna as an appetizer and it was delish. Kind of hard to mess that kind of dish up! My husband ordered the French onion soup which he said was really salty but he ate it with the bread. They had a cayenne honey butter available for the bread but I didnt particularly enjoy it. All i tasted was the cayenne after taste and really no honey or butter. I ordered the portabella mushroom entree which was really really good. He had the meatloaf which was good but he said wasn't worth the $24 price.Apologies for not taking pics of the entrees.“
“My husband and I visited The Old Farmhouse Tea room this past Saturday 2/10/2024. It was just the 2 of us out on a date. Our server Katelyn (not sure if that's how her name is spelled) wad VERY NICE and professional and walked us through everything. The food was great, the service was FANTASTIC, and she was kind enough to take a picture of us. We hope to visit again, and next time we'll try the dinner option? And try and bring some friends with us. THANK YOU for making our date a memorable one. ?“
“Highly recommend! Great service and food! My personal favorite menu item is their taco salads and my Mom always gets their shrimp quesadilla. The owner comes out from the kitchen every time we are there to say hi and see how our meal is. It’s a true mom and pop establishment!“
“Inn 94 is a small town steak and seafood restaurant located on Carlisle Pike in York County, PA. Our family stopped for dinner following a volleyball game and wasn't disappointed. Overall, the atmosphere quiet and relaxing and the food was delicious. Some possible things that could be better is the decorations (plastic flowers updated) and wait staff (attire was not typical elegant restaurant attire) but neither of those take away from an excellent dining experience. Inn 94 is a hidden gem that we will surely return to and recommend to others.“
“Lucky Spot Restaurant is a hidden gem for breakfast lovers. While they only serve breakfast on Sundays, one can also get lunch throughout the week! Their food is definitely worth the wait. The restaurant is well-known for its affordable prices and delicious dishes, and I highly recommend trying their gyro omelette. The gyro omelette is a unique and flavorful dish that combines the classic breakfast omelette with the savory taste of gyro meat. The omelette itself is fluffy and cooked to perfection, with generous portions of gyro meat, feta cheese, and tomatoes folded inside. It's served with a side of potatoes and a slice of toast, making for a filling and satisfying breakfast.Aside from the gyro omelette, Lucky Spot also offers a variety of other breakfast items such as pancakes, waffles, and eggs Benedict. The portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable, making it a great spot for families or groups of friends. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy and welcoming, with friendly staff who are always willing to make recommendations and ensure that you have a great experience. The restaurant is also very clean and well-maintained, adding to the overall pleasant dining experience.if you're looking for a delicious and affordable breakfast spot, Lucky Spot is definitely worth checking out. While they only serve breakfast on Sundays, their gyro omelette and other dishes are sure to satisfy your cravings and leave you feeling full and happy.Parking is on the street or across in the parking lots. This place is located next to a yoga studio and a cafe, along with a comedy club.“
“The pizza here is excellent. The cheese steaks are better. And my favorite meal is the salmon with lump crab meat. If you like fish you gotta try it. It's so good. I gave 5 stars because this place deserves it. Now the pasta meals are hot or miss. Anything with noodle I personally believe. My mom and dad recently tried the pasta and didn't like it either. Lacks flavor. Their other meals are very good.“
“My wife and I figured that we would go out for lunch today since we haven't gone on an impromptu date for a while. We have been to this location before and enjoyed the experience. The only reason I didn't give the service five stars is due to the receptionist that greeted us. Well, she tried maybe in her way. No smile, couldn't have cared less if we were there or not.She was very short and abrupt with us. After showing us to our table, we both said thank you. All we got was a straight face and a stare back and then she walked away to go do her thing.I get it. Customer service is a hard job for anyone nowadays. I'm a first responder and I can totally understand what it means to not be appreciated at all. But when someone extends kindness and is polite, you need to reciprocate that. Granted, she may have just been having a bad day and I get it. We all do. But in customer service, you always go that extra mile to smile and make the customer feel welcome and they're appreciated. If you can't do that, then perhaps a different line of work is needed. In view of that, we would go back again. The food was done just right. I always get a steak there and it was cooked exactly like I ordered. Well done.“
“There're several Texas Hot Dog places in Hanover. Don't waste your time with them, head right here. My Dad came here as a child and I'm a 50 year customer. I never go to Hanover without getting a Hot Dog and fries. Best Texas Hot Weiner at a reasonable price. Also very clean an family owned.“
“The food was very fresh and good. The pancakes now are about 1/3 smaller than they used to be, and the prices of everything have really gone up. For people on fixed incomes, it's not easy to find places to eat out anymore. We would go back.“
“The tropical treat is and has been a mainstay for a good reason. We sat at a picnic table and even during a downpour, the server brought our food to us and was very polite. This, along with the great taste of their food is why Tropical Treat comes very highly recommended!“
“Stopped by on way to Virginia. Ordered Tuna nachos, CSB Burger, and Kids cheese pizza . The appetizer was excellent and tuna fresh. My burger was more than a handful. The grandson pizza was just right. Prices reasonable and worth a stop. Detour off Rt 15 and you will not be sorry for lunch. Don’t forget the history behind this tavern since 1763 continually run.Kid-friendliness: No issues with a 3 yr old“
