“My buddy and I had a nice stop in this bar after a day of skiing. We got the spicy burger, which was one of the specials (fresh jalapenos/pepper jack cheese etc). Staff was nice and friendly and the food came out quickly. This bar is attached to the assisted living and skilled nursing center above, and was described to us as a way for the residents to see people outside their circles and go out to a bar without the hassle of going out, which I thought was very nice.Prices were great, I think the burger with fries was $10 with a $5 draft beer to boot. If I'm ever in taneytown I'll definitely return for another visit to explore their menu further.“
“The Smokehouse has been one of my favourite restaurants for many years. It was a Birthday celebration idea, and I am thrilled I thought of this place. We stayed at the beautiful Antrim 1844 (do so, as it's a wonderful place to relax after dinner). We had a steak tartar, as a chef's treat, and then the magic started: the chef showed his talent! I enjoyed the fact that his creativity did not go into "what is this foamy stuff on something we don't know what?": the sauteed mushrooms were delicious, and the salad was fresh with outstanding grapefruit dressing. The main course I selected - duck - was tender and plentiful, not microscopic in size, like in many other places you would get these days. The sommelier recommended 100+$ bottle of wine, which was not good, as much as we tried to like it. We sent it back, and chose a different Pinot (the sommelier said now we are on our own :)) - We chose Croix Pinot and loved it. Desserts were large - they don't make their desserts at the restaurant, we were told - still, my cheesecake was very good. Please, stop in at the bar for after dinner Port or Sherry and enjoy the ambiance near the original fireplace. Excellent experience (we did not dwell on the sommelier tactics!) Life is too short for that:)“
“The food was great! I asked for over-med eggs and got it! The potatoes were just wonderful! Even down to my toast- it was buttered to my liking...The waitress was so pleasant and personable! It made you feel like they wanted you there! Thank you for a great experience! Pastor Judy ✝️“
“Delicious, fresh homemade food. Everything was so good and our server Billie Jo was so warm and friendly and described all the special dishes in a way that made you want to try them all. I got the Maryland crab soup, the chicken salad sandwich, a delicious sprout salad with cranberries, pecans, and house made balsamic vinaigrette, and we split a slice of cheesecake and raspberry chocolate chip bread pudding. Everything was fantastic and we are definitely coming back!“
“Stopped in for breakfast the other day and was impressed. Ham and cheese omelette was very good. Home fries were just right. Belgian waffle was a big hit also. Place had plenty of seating and firehouse memorabilia to look at. Our server was great. Will definitely return to sample more of the menu.“
“My husband and I travel from Chambersburg just to enjoy a terrific meal here several times a year. Whether it's the seared tuna, thick center-cut pork chops, authentic gyro or a burger, we have never been disappointed and always leave with a full and satisfied tummy ? They truly know how to make a hearty and very delicious soup or bisque... it's like a meal in-of-itself. They have awesome desserts, and their hummus is hands down the best I've ever had anywhere...my husband agrees, and usually, he hates the stuff ?“
“Wonderful Small town restaurant that accomodated 20 of us!Finished a late Fall car cruise at this restaurant for lunch with 20 friends and 15 cars. We had called ahead to let them know and they were ready for us. Our waitress Stephanie was very sweet and efficient.Food portions were scrumptious and HUGE. I did not have it but witnessed the largest omelette I have ever seen in my life.We would go back in a minute!“
“What a great choice for dining in at a quaint little restaurant. New owners, Anthony & and Amber, are hands-on, have wonderful menu ideas, and are super nice. This place is a must try! Weekly specials are not the same old, same old. And everything my whole family tried was delicious! Save room for dessert...that's pretty great also! It's definitely worth the drive if you don't live out that way. P.S. Can't wait for the ice cream shop to open.“
“Had a really nice "between funeral viewings" dinner here. Staff was very accommodating for a soldier party of 10. Service was good, menu was varied. Everything got to the table hot and reasonably quickly. Their homemade chips were really good. My BBQ was very flavorful, nice and moist without dripping sauce. Crab dips were good and decent size.A really nice small local eatery, try them out!!“
“The pizza here is excellent. The cheese steaks are better. And my favorite meal is the salmon with lump crab meat. If you like fish you gotta try it. It's so good. I gave 5 stars because this place deserves it. Now the pasta meals are hot or miss. Anything with noodle I personally believe. My mom and dad recently tried the pasta and didn't like it either. Lacks flavor. Their other meals are very good.“
“I hosted a wedding party here. The management and service is beyond phenomenal. The bartender served amazing drinks and the staff is friendly, prompt, and excellent. The food was great, especially for the price. I will definitely be returning for personal experiences.“
