“Rosa was our server. She was very nice and attentive. The menu has many different and interesting options for the Sunday brunch. The food came quickly. The room we were in was close together with other tables, I don't particularly mind that, but you can hear everyone talking. The food was very good. Collectively we had the salmon, pork, scallops and egg salad sandwich. The French fries were great. The scallops were excellent as was everything else. All plates were empty. My only suggestion is have more vegetarian options. The quiche had bacon, the omelet had bacon, all salads have meat. We will definitely go back.“

“What a great meal with fantastic service at The Tasting Room in Frederick Maryland. We were gifted a very generous gift card to this restaurant. We had eaten here in the past, but had the opportunity to head back here. We used OpenTable and booked our reservation several weeks in advance. Mostly because of our schedule, but we’re excited to go back. Our server was Jessica and she was probably one of the best servers we have had in the past two years. Extremely knowledgeable about the wines, and very strong on the menu selections. Professional and attentive. If I could give her six stars, I would. For dinner we started with a Black Martini and a Lily Pad. Jessica explained the drink to us so we went with it and was not disappointed. With dinner we had a bottle of Inglenook Zinfandel. Delicious. For food we started with the Panko Shrimp and the charcuterie board. The cheese selection was very good and the elk sausage was tasty. For main courses we all had the filet. Great presentation with oval trivets and cast iron plates with each filet. Tender and cooked to perfection with a side of béarnaise sauce which was some of the best I have ever had. So so good! You also received as a side dish potatoes au gratin. Very good! We also ordered a side of Brussels sprouts for the table. For desserts Jessica recommended the “warm chocolate toffee Bundt cake”. It was so delicious. Could have eaten two! We also had the “lemon meringue parfait”. Light and tasty. We rounded out the meal with Peruvian Dark Roast Coffee. Outstanding. The restaurant is cozy and well decorated. Take the opportunity and look up at the beautiful ceilings that permeate throughout the restaurant. In addition, if you are seated next to a window look across the street at the “Angel” painting. So interesting.Overall, the meal and service were just outstanding. Yeah it is on the expensive side (but we had drinks, apps and dessert) but I will go back. It really was perfection and worth every penny.Parking: Parking is available across the street in a paid large parking garage. Several garages around.Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant is on first floor so no steps but aisles are tight between tables.“

“Great little wing place on South Market street in Frederick. Walked in nice gentleman greeted me as I entered. Said that he would be right with me. My turn to order decided on 12 hot wings with fries at a very competitive price. The hot sauce that was put on the wings, stuck to the wings and did not runoff. They were hot, but tolerable. Wings were not overcooked and practically fell off the bone. I will go back and try one of their hotdogs as well, the other item on the menu. The fries were crinkle cut, sprinkled with a seasoning, they were good if you like crinkle cut fries.“

“Was really looking forward to trying this restaurant for a while, finally went on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, nice and cozy, with a bit of a fancy pub vibe. We were lucky to get seated right away, but they were very busy. Despite how busy they were, our server was quick to greet us, and was very knowledgeable about the menu. We started out with the Smoked Chicken Empanadas, which ended up being the star of the meal. They had a crispy crust, with a delicious filling and a tangy creamy sauce drizzled on top. My only feedback would be to serve them with the sauce on the side, as the first couple bites are crispy, but after that they get a little soggy. I had the corned beef sandwich, which was tasty, but probably would've preferred a marbled rye instead of the black bread. My date had the burger, which was unfortunately overcooked. The fries were okay, but could've been seasoned and more crunchy, and we both agreed that the house-made ketchup wasn't great. Overall the food let us down a little, but we think a trip back to try the brunch items might be in order. The service was great!“

What they do, they do with supreme excellence. Pricing is most fair considering the generosity of the serving sizes; definitely a place to share a plate and not to feel bad about it. The "West of Santa Fe" salad hits the sweet spot of what they are best at; Tex-Mex and California cuisine with an upscale feel. Good selection of craft beers too for happy hour or maybe an early dinner before a Frederick Keys game, as we have done many times in the past. Don't let the business park location and industrial feel fool you. Very obviously the restaurant is run by foodies. One note: sub-optimal place for a business lunch or for (say) senior citizens despite the great accessibility: its austere and thus, loud inside. “When it comes down to it there really isn’t anything more timeless in the American restaurant landscape than the classic burger joint. No matter what tragedies befall the food industry, these iconic locations live on. Beef n Buns n Paradise is no exception to this phenomenon. For years this mom and pop burger shop has kept the hungry mouths of Frederick well fed, but just how well does it hold up to this day? Let’s dive in and find out! One thing I love about this place right off the bat is the decor and atmosphere. It’s almost as if this place was airlifted off of a coastal town in North Carolina and dropped right into the middle of Frederick. It’s old school with its window order, outdoor seating only layout yet the colorful, tropical decor takes you away to a place far from where you stand, I love it! Beyond the fun atmosphere, it’s the food that stands out the most. I ordered their signature “Mammoth Burger” with fries along with a cotton candy milkshake. WOW! Absolutely delicious all the way down to the last bite. The burger was cooked exactly how I asked and was so tender and juicy. A great side of fries that can stand above their competitors made great company with my burger. The star of this show really just may have been the milkshake. I’d go as far to say that Beef n Buns n Paradise? Best milkshakes in all of Frederick! Staff was friendly, parking was fine, all in all a fantastic experience! In an age where burgers have shifted into experimental territory like bacon infused buns and PB&J burgers; Beef n Buns proves that sometimes all you need is a mastery of the fundamentals. A great trip to a great establishment, I look forward to more visits in the years to come!-Mugsy McDonald, Independent Food Reviewer“

“So Valentines week is also my wife's birthday and our wedding anniversary. To be blunt, our dining experiences in Frederick's fancy, trendy restaurants over the past 7 years (pre, during, and post Pandemic) have been mostly lackluster. In my opinion it's due to overreaching and establishments duping customers into believing that inflated prices equal a premium experience.ANYWAYS, my wife picked Gladchuk Bros. for her birthday dinner this year. All the lifetime Frederick locals I talked to in the kitchen I work in rolled their eyes and kinda insinuated it mostly catered to a much older clientele, but nobody had been there recently. My wife and I made a reservation for 6:00 and got there and got seated early. We ordered a spiced pear vodka drink. Appetizers were jumbo lump crab stuffed mushrooms, oysters Rockefeller, and the roasted beet salad. For entrees we ordered the crab stuffed cod for her and sautéed chicken livers for me. I didn't see options for sides and both of our entrees came with a perfectly steamed fresh vegetable blend and homemade scalloped potatoes. It was hands down the best dining experience we have had in Frederick. In fact, we had a hard time remembering a better experience anywhere.First, the food was all simple ingredients and lightly seasoned but all cooked perfectly. I cook professionally and can't help myself by making notes of how a dish can be improved next time (especially when it's something I've made). I had no notes on ANYTHING we ordered. It was all perfect. In fact, I got visible goosebumps when I tried my chicken livers. I like chicken livers just fine, but I never thought they would be part of such a great dining experience. The food was perfect. Our server was attentive without being invasive. He was polite and knew what he was doing. We always try our best to be low maintenance, so we didn't have a bunch of questions. Again, perfect. As far as the atmosphere, I can't remember the last time I ate somewhere this COZY. A hearth in the entryway. Comfortable lighting without being dark. Bookshelves, fun artwork, and classy vibes leaning far more towards laid back than stuffy. It made us both nostalgic for nice family dinners out from our childhoods. Makes sense since Gladchuk Bros. has been here since 1988.To say this is a strong reccomend is an understatement. The price of everything matches up with quality and comfort. It's a no-nonsense elevated dining experience that I feel people need to revisit.PS - We were there on a Tuesday night at 6:00. They were filling up by the time we left. Make a reservation!“
