“We used to frequent this restaurant often when we lived in Frederick. We returned for my 70th birthday dinner. As usual, Rich did an outstanding job, not only with our meals but also with meals designed for our vegan/vegetarian children. Trish, our server , was also excellent. “Long post ahead, warning! I walked in around 9 pm and the hostess didn't bat an eye at my dining alone, and didn't say anything about it, which I appreciate. I was seated right away with no problems and immediately got a chance to look over the menu. I will admit, it took a little bit longer than expected for my waiter to come over, but as a lone diner I sort of expected that. I looked like I was waiting for someone, I'm sure. The look and feel of the place was very upscale, but they didn't have any problems with me walking in wearing a nerdy t-shirt. I was seated in this cute little booth for 2 with curtains on the side so, if I wanted a more private dinner, I could have it. It was a cute touch! The restaurant also offered patio dining and since it's by the creek, that would have been a downright charming experience were it not the usual Maryland summer. Despite having a bar, the restaurant was respectably quiet and low-key, making it an easy dining experience. I wasn't in the mood for something wild, and this place really hit the nail on the head. My first waiter Kevin, however, was the picture of polite helpfulness. He answered all of my questions, made some wonderful suggestions, and was incredibly pleasant to talk to. I was delighted to find out that this place takes part in DC restaurant week, so I was able to take part in that promotion. Under a suggestion from Kevin, I ordered a glass of their moscato (I wanted something light and sweet), and the wine was so good I brought home a whole bottle. Not really on them, but it does reflect their excellent selection. Dinner itself was delicious. The red pepper soup was refreshing and flavorful, without being too filling. The steak I ordered was cooked to perfection and was flavored in the perfect way to make the actual flavor of the meat shine. The potatoes were both light and fluffy, but also had the little chunks of potato that I prefer in my mashed. The best part was desert. About halfway through my appetizer, Kevin introduced my other waiter, Maddy, who took over after he went home. She was as much of a delight as he was, and made possibly the best recommendation of the night. Desert was this blackberry tart that I did not have room for but could not put down. Gooey and crumbly all at once, with a warm center that was almost caramel-y even though it was fruit based. Topped with a light cream to balance it all out, it was absolutely delicious. I will be thinking of that tart all day tomorrow. The prices on the menu were a little high, but I wouldn't go so far to say they were unreasonable. If I had wanted a cheaper option, I could have gone to any chain restaurant ever. In the grand scheme of downtown Frederick, with it's many small businesses and one of a kind dining experiences, I think this was reasonable. For reference, a lot of meals were between $20 and $30, but a good steak is almost always $30+. Despite the price, I had an exceptional dining experience, and would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for upscale dining, without the upscale requirements.“

The server provided little explanation about the menu choices and preparation. When the entrees were delivered, however, confusion ensued when the servers presented the dishes to each diner incorrectly. Wine was ordered, and the pours were not consistent in each glass, probably about 4 oz. or less each. The entrees were expertly prepared with flavorful sauces and seasonings; however, the table received little attention during the meal. We all agreed that the food quality and tastiness of the food were excellent, but the dining experience would have been outstanding if the service had been at a higher level.“

“loved this place, it’s a chain restaurant so don’t expect anything crazy, however i really enjoyed our meal, our time here, the bartender Ryan was delightful to speak with, very attentive. wait was about 45-50 minutes. just go to the bar when it’s like that like we did. (actually longer than that since other people near us didn’t get seated until we were SERVED AND DONE with our meal)

“I just celebrated my 64th birthday at Red Lobster in Frederick and absolutely loved it. The food was great, and the waiter was exceptional. I spent my day trying to decide where I wanted to go to celebrate and decided on Red Lobster just before leaving out to go to Texas Roadhouse. On the way home we all decided Red Lobster was a great pick. I recommend that you try it also.“

“As four guests visiting for the first time, we all thought the food was great. Service was slow to order a beer and desert was almost cancelled because of time and the glazing did not arrive with one of the deserts and getting a side cup never arrived. The waitress was new and very helpful and will get better with experience. The only disappointment was their Military Discount? They only allow 10% for "active" Military making one feel that veterans just don't qualify? And the 10% you receive is only on the members main meal. So for a $60.61 meal the discount was $1.49? I give the discount I receive back to the wait staff and left a $15.00 tip.“

“We got to Cracker Barrel in Frederick around 1:15 PM on Sunday 10/4. The restaurant was very busy. We put our name on the wait list and waited no more than 25 min (which to me went fast because I love the gift shop!). Our waiter was Omar. He did a great job. He was at our table right away to take our coffee order he was back shortly for our food order. He was very apologetic for the delay of of our food. We understood completely that the kitchen was slightly backed up with the amount of people dining. We comfortably chatted with Omar for the few extra minutes while waiting. Omar was attentive and personable.“

There is also entertainment in checking out all of the flight memorabilia surrounding each room. You might even be able to check out the landings and takeoffs from your table. Well worth the trip.“

“My husband and I went to Longhorn Steakhouse yesterday. The food was really good, the prices are very reasonable, the atmosphere was nice. I’d like to shout out our waiter CT. He was awesome. There is nothing better than the smell of smoked BBQ filling the air. Ample parking, and I love the location. The food is fantastic! I had the potato salad, sweet potatoes, and 2 meats (Arkansas Brisket which are burnt tips and Hot Links). The platter comes with pickled onions, pickles, and cornbread. It did not disappoint. Plus the original BBQ which comes with it, had an interesting flavor. Sweet and vinegary, with a little heat, which was nice. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for some good BBQ.“
