About The Monroe Center at Frederick Community College

The Monroe Center at Frederick Community College offers a dining experience where culinary and hospitality students cook and serve for the evening. The menu provides a variety of entree choices, including pork chop, pasta primavera, chicken, and salmon. Salad and squash soup were good. The pork chop was large and juicy, and the salmon was flaky, paired well with snap peas and rice, with a flavorful sauce. A brownie sundae was the best one ever eaten, though the lemon cake was dry with nice sauces and fruit. The food quality and tastiness of the food were excellent, with expertly prepared entrees and flavorful sauces and seasonings. However, the service had room for improvement, as the server provided little explanation, dishes were presented incorrectly, and wine pours were not consistent. Despite this, the students put 100% into the service and the food, making it a wonderful experience with lovely people. The price cannot be beat, and it is a great way to support FCC's Culinary & Hospitality program.

The menu offered a variety of entree choices, including pork chop, pasta primavera, chicken, and salmon. We were instructed by the hostess that each person at our table should order a different entree to make it easier for the kitchen staff. The server provided little explanation...read full review
Best hidden gem in the DMV. Reminds me of Hell's Kitchen but the restaurant never shuts down.
Salad and squash soup good. Pork chop large and juicy. Salmon flaky paired well with snap peas and rice, flavorful sauce. Sparkling lemonade not too sweet, nice lemon flavor. Brownie sundae best my husband ever ate. Lemon cake dry, sauces and fruit nice. Overall a real dining experience, we would return if reservations become available.
