“Great atmosphere!! They had different sports showing on many TV's, a quieter room with tables by a fireplace if you prefer, and even several tables in the back by the electronic darts and pool tables if you wanted to sit near them and watch family or friends play or even join in! There was also some kids dancing in the back by the darts and some up front watching the big screen TV with basketball on, great environment. Everything we ate was delicious from crab soups, French onion soup, Buffalo wings to cheese steak, pizza and just wonderful crab cakes. All the food came out pretty quickly too. I do have to say we were Amazed by our waitress who was Awesome!! Not only did she keep coming over and asking if we needed anything and refilling our drinks, but I think she was 1 of only 2 waitresses on shift for all of the tables. We had a very enjoyable time here at Ott House and cannot wait to come back!Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly and family friendly. Great atmosphere for everyone!!“
“My partner and I came here after a session at Liberty Mountain Resort, about 10 mins away. Had a great time, there was a house pianist playing while we dined. Our server was gracious and the food pretty good. I ordered the Ahi Tuna for an appetizer, 10 straps with wasabi aioli, ginger and soy sauce. For my entree, I tried The Emmitsburg, named after the town its in. Roast beef cooked medium well with mashed potatoes and asparagus on top of garlic toast. For dessert, we tried the blackberry sorbet ice cream. Not too sweet, so she enjoyed. She also enjoyed the Moscato punch with her entree.“
“This is a MUST try when in Gettysburg I was told and they were right! The French onion soup is AMAZING and where else can you go to eat in a building as old as America itself? Service was great and lunch time tavern was only a ten minute wait. I also had some giant asparagus and they were really good as well! Glad to say we tried here and I would absolutely recommend and come back myself!“
“Everything was flavorful and well presented! The staff was wonderfully attentive! A hidden gem for weary travelers! We came in a little bit before the dinner hour and had a wonderful experience. Get there a little early, the place filled up!We were especially pleased to find that this restaurant has a dedicated vegan menu, for anyone who's dairy-free or vegan!Vegetarian options: We couldn't find it anywhere until we called and asked. This restaurant has a dedicated vegan menu and some awesome choices!“
“Good food at a reasonable price! Always busy , but they don't push you out the door when you're done. That makes it easier to visit with friends!Parking: A bit of a tight squeeze to get through the alley to the parking of you have a large suv.“
“Second time my husband and I came in since we moved here a year ago! I don’t know why we don’t go here more often. Both times we’ve been, staff has been friendly, refills are quick, and the food is great! They had some amazing specials for St Patty’s weekend, but I just had to try the boasted chicken everyone raves about. Definitely worth the hype!“
“Went with my mom. We were seated right away by a friendly hostess. Our waitress was amazing. As it was our first time there, she explained everything with patience and a friendly smile. The food was too good. I overstuffed myself because I didn't want to stop eating. But we still wanted dessert. We were told that the flavors of the cheesecake depend on what mood the chef is in. There would also be a dessert available that wasn't on the menu, again, changing depending on the chef's mood.Atmosphere, food, staff, all made for a wonderful time that I would love to repeat.Without a doubt, this is one of Gettysburg's best spots.“
“First time at Gettysburger. Wonderful place. The host seated us right away. Our server, Sam, was awesome. Very friendly and made us feel right at home. Definitely coming back!Updated: came back twice. Our server both times, Brad, was great. We really enjoyed his unique serving style.Turned our lunch into a fun ‘experience’. Great place. We’ll be back in the fall!“
“Did not stay overnight. Nice place for a special occasion or family gathering. Beautiful inside, but pricey. I can't eat enough to justify the almost $40 per person price, but I would bring my family here for a special occasion at least once.“
“The shrimp poboy was delicious! The pulled pork sandwhich was huuuuuge! The fries were very good, and even better on the reheat of leftovers. The atmosphere was very laid back. Can't wait to go back! The only negative was the bartender that took our to go order. She seemed irritated that we were disturbing her. But everyone else was friendly and smiling.“
“Great value for breakfast food. I ordered the Ham and Cheese Omelet with mushrooms and I was very pleased with the quality for only $8; the service was speedy and the waiter was cordial. My friend ordered the Greek Omelet with asparagus and feta and it looked great, he said it was a good choice. I liked the small, mom-and-pop vibe of the restaurant; I would recommend this to anyone wanting a nice sit down breakfast while at Liberty Mountain Resort.“
“Had an absolutely amazing dinner here today, I got the special, grilled chicken with peppers and onions over rice and I was beyond satisfied. After a disappointing attempt at dinner in downtown Gettysburg, we went here and were so thrilled. This will replace the aforementioned restaurant as a regular place to “
“We went to several restaurants around the one Lincoln and the pub and they completely ignored us while we stood there waiting to be seated so we walked to the Lincoln diner and was greatest and sat right down and had a delicious meal.. waiter was fast and so nice, definitely recommend it! They have delicious desserts too!!“
“We had a wonderful trip to Gettysburg for my 50th birthday. We stayed at the Farnsworth Inn and couldn't ask for better. We ran into a snafu with our room on our last night and had to switch rooms, they were very accomodating. Highly recommend the magic show.“
“I ordered a carry out order. When I arrived to pick up, the restaurant was clean and well organized. Staff was friendly and courteous. I ordered the Special House Fajitas (shrimp, chicken, steak and sausage), and my wife had the Tacos De Pollo Asada (chicken tacos). Food was delicious and flavorful. We'll definitely order again. Thanks Sanders team!“
“I have heard about Bollinger's for years but never visited till now. I was craving a good Rueben sandwich and theirs was delicious. A huge pile of juicy corned beef, melted cheese and just the right about of kraut on toasted rye. I chose the fries and added cole slaw on the side, both had the perfect crunch. We shared the coconut cream pie for dessert and it was to die for. The service was very friendly, attentive and prompt. Looking forward to returning again. That Cuban sandwich looks fabulous.“
“Food and atmosphere good as usual. Our waitress Tracy was excellent, as usual! Others can learn a lot from her on how to provide excellent service. Always greets with a friendly smile and hello! She is always attentive and always on top of your needs! She is the absolute best waitress. Have yet to have a waiter/waitress to do as well as she does!Parking: Plenty of parkingKid-friendliness: Always kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Easy in and easy out“
“Parking: A dedicated parking spot (1) is right out front & I've always used that space, I normally don't have any issues for parking. If I have to walk a block or 2, it's definitely worth my time.. pastries are 5 star.“
“Service is impeccable. You feel like you've stepped back in time with your ancestors and are dining with them. The period costumes help take you back in time. Food was excellent! All is delicious but I must point out a star in the menu. The hearty onion soup (actually thick like a stew is the best I've ever had! It's been several months since I've been there and it's still remarkable in my mind. I find myself comparing every French onion soups to this one and they cannot measure up to this one!“
“I've been going here for 15 years. It's always been one of my favorites, and the mojitos in the summer time are amazing. They are seasonalParking: It's in the square and it's paid parking. There is a parking garage down the street behind the Lincoln hotel.Wheelchair accessibility: It's not wheelchair friendly because the bathroom are upstairs with no elevator, plus it's a very crowded restaurant.“
“I went here for a late breakfast with my friend. We both got the Philadelphia Cheesesteak, with fries, waters, I got a Pepsi and he had a hot chocolate. The cheesesteak here is one of the best I've ever had, outside of Philly. The meat was fully cooked but not dry, the bread was perfectly toasted and didn't cut my mouth up, and the cheese was melted through the whole sandwich. It also comes with sautéed onions and peppers, I had mine without onions and light on the peppers. They came with lettuce, sliced tomato and pickle slices on the side. The fries were hot and salty, size was between McDonald's and BK fries. The portion looked like at least a big potato's worth of fries, it was a sizeable pile. They came with cups of ketchup and some white sauce (I think a horseradish sauce, I didn't try it).My friend said the hot chocolate was very hot, but good. My Pepsi was, well, a Pepsi. Our waiter was very professional, he told us about a fish taco special and checked on us a couple times during our meal. The only reason I gave the atmosphere 4/5 stars is because they're in the middle of renovations, but it looks really good on the inside/open section despite the construction.“
“The hotel bar has a limited selection good beer and top shelf liquor. It can get busy when large groups book the hotel. The highlight of the bar is the bartender, Tania. She is a consummate professional and handles an overwhelming crowd with grace, skill, & humor.“
“We were lucky to stumble on this place on a Friday night. Great pizzas! We had the brisket pizza which was really good, and the calamari is on point. The back area has FREE GAMES, pool, shuffleboard, skeeball, hoops, and air hockey. After dinner we hung out and played games drinking the delicious local beers. Highly recommend!“
“Food was good tasted good but hot and sour soup had a good flavor but was very sparse on ingredients tofu was chopped in a fine dice and was little none in it also it only had about 8 piece of very small and I mean small cut up mushroom in it and last bit not least the egg steamer that I personal love about hot and sour soup was almost non-existent pepper steak was good but more onion few peppers and not a lot of steak but for 16 for the pepp. Stk and like 7 bucks for the H@S soup I expect it more flavor was good on both but I think what's happening here is what's happening a lot of places they either have to cut the amount of ingredients they put in or raise prices personally I would rather they hold on to the integrity of their dishes and simply raise the price I'd rather have to pay a little bit more and get something that is what I expect overall good restaurant nice people food was good just was surprised about as few ingredients that was in it considering the price I do recommend them if you're there go check them out form your own opinion“
“We couldn't get in the summer. Too long of a line. Easily get seated in January and February lol. Absolutely delicious. Gonna keep going back till tourist season starts.Smokehouse BurgerSmokehouse Burger Went back the next weekend. We sat at the bar and had a fabulous brew draft from Baltimore called Nepenthe Boreal Crypt (Indian pale ale) and delicious burgers again“
“If you are ever in Gettysburg PA, and love buffets as much as I do, YOU gotta stop at General Picketts Buffet? All home country cooking with the BEST customer service you will ever receive, which is what I strive for when going anywhere!I couldn't believe how every single employee was so friendly and helpful and genuinely kind!We will definitely be coming back here every time we pass through Gettysburg, which isn't as often as I'd like, now that I found this little home away from home!Kid-friendliness: The employees were so kind and loving to all the children“
“Music, good food, very timely sometimes faster then McDonald's,service is good, I heard they sometimes do special menus for late night jerk chicken, beef patties, roast and stir fry this food truck really is a one stop shopWheelchair accessibility: CJ's always makes sure that they provide outstanding service to all who visit“
“Great food.... Customer service was great... Shift change kind of changed that because our new server was not nearly as nice as the server we had when we first went in during the 2-3pm hour... Decided to go back for dinner, the open faced roast beef dinner is excellent and they have the best French onion soup in the area... Knocked off a star because the person we had for the second half of lunch wasn't very nice and it seemed like we were bothering her when asking for another drink... Only other complaint for the 4 stars is that the crab soup was like cheap vegetable soup with a bit of hot sauce and really old crab added... I mean the crab was grey... See pics....“
“We came here for breakfast and it was fantastic! We ate at the bar, with the "regulars" and they made us feel right at home. We had the crab cake benedict, the breakfast pizza and the ham and egg sandwich. The portions were large and everything was really tasty. The menu and décor screams diner, but the food is way better than that. It is a family business- food cooked by the two matriarchs of the family. I would highly recommend this place.“
