“I ordered a carry out order. When I arrived to pick up, the restaurant was clean and well organized. Staff was friendly and courteous. I ordered the Special House Fajitas (shrimp, chicken, steak and sausage), and my wife had the Tacos De Pollo Asada (chicken tacos). Food was delicious and flavorful. We'll definitely order again. Thanks Sanders team!“
“So many tasty food options beyond the typical amusement park fried fare that we much preferred the comfort and ease of indoor buffet to the outside BBQ or the higher priced restaurants you see at most ski resorts. As crazy as it can be for a cafeteria or marketplace, the cooking staff actually seemed to care and take time and care in preparing the meals (e.g., quesadilla, grilled cheese, potato)! The only problem? Price... but of course, we are at a ski resort and it could be worse.“
“I went here for a late breakfast with my friend. We both got the Philadelphia Cheesesteak, with fries, waters, I got a Pepsi and he had a hot chocolate. The cheesesteak here is one of the best I've ever had, outside of Philly. The meat was fully cooked but not dry, the bread was perfectly toasted and didn't cut my mouth up, and the cheese was melted through the whole sandwich. It also comes with sautéed onions and peppers, I had mine without onions and light on the peppers. They came with lettuce, sliced tomato and pickle slices on the side. The fries were hot and salty, size was between McDonald's and BK fries. The portion looked like at least a big potato's worth of fries, it was a sizeable pile. They came with cups of ketchup and some white sauce (I think a horseradish sauce, I didn't try it).My friend said the hot chocolate was very hot, but good. My Pepsi was, well, a Pepsi. Our waiter was very professional, he told us about a fish taco special and checked on us a couple times during our meal. The only reason I gave the atmosphere 4/5 stars is because they're in the middle of renovations, but it looks really good on the inside/open section despite the construction.“
“Went mid-November and we’re glad we did. When we arrived the place was empty- as we were leaving another party entered. We definitely had excellent service & enjoyed our food. The crab dip was our favorite. We can’t wait to go back during ski season!“
“We come to Gettysburg twice a year and always try to stay somewhere new every time. We are so pleased with our stay at Cashtown inn that we will start staying there at least once for our annual visits. I can't say enough about how accommodating the owners and staff were and very knowledgeable of the history of the area and ready to share with you all they know. Of course there is a bit of haunted stories of the building and area, so no matter whether you're coming for the haunts or coming to relax, this is the best place to stay. By far.“
“Had dinner here for a family members birthday. Friendly service and a colonial feel make this an enjoyable stop with the family. Surprisingly high prices and good, but not great, food keep it in the rare visit category.Food & drinks: Food was good, but not worth the price. Stopping for the atmosphere is worth at least one visit.“
“Food was...almost right. Everything was good, but not quite what it should have been. Not sure what was missing, but to could have been truly awesome. There was an individual pizza that needed a touch of sharpness to make it really sparkle, for example. A drizzle of a balsamic reduction maybe?Still, definitely a cut above the average, and worth considering if you are in Gettysburg for a meal“
“This is a charming spot with good food and quick service, although it can get busy. My burger was cooked just right and the fries were outstanding! Parking is right behind the restaurant and there is an overflow gravel lot behind the paved lot.“
“This was a great, casual, fun stop for some good food and fun distilled drinks. The interior is all brick, industrial warm atmosphere with good music, clean, well lit. We loved the goat cheese brûlée with hot pepper jam. We ordered two. Served with pita bread. The selection of drinks is great. You can get just the alcohol, or they make fabulous cocktails. We will come back.“
“Really liked my smashburger, wife didn't like her regular burger, underseasoned and very little blue cheese on her black and blue burger. Chips are good, fries are good. Beer cheese is awesome. Biggest complaint, I was trying to pay the parking outside and they refused to seat our table of 3 without all 3 of us standing there....like, the restaurant was dead at the time and I was outside paying parking...downloading an app, making a new account, adding a credit card...then paying. Why make them wait? Ridiculous.“
“The food here is great but the service needs some work. Our waitress hardly checked in with our table and when she did she was unpleasant. I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt but it looks like other people are having the same issues.Parking: Parking lot is located behind the building.“
“I have been there twice for lunch & for dinner on holidays. Both times I was a guest so I'm not sure if the cost. The atmosphere is high-end rustic... antique with modern fixtures. Make sure to look up and see the train running around the track. The servers are mostly young ladies and there busy the whole time... very friendly, and they remember most requests for refills on food and drinks. The food is holiday typical; turkey ham stuffing mashed potatoes carrots green beans etc. It is served family style; brought out in bowls, they're passed around the table, and ask for refills. They also have hot spices cider while your waiting to be seated. And the meals are served in shifts meaning they fill the restaurant, serve everyone the same food, the clear the restaurant and reset for the next meal... you will need a reservation. I recommend trying it.“
“Great atmosphere!! They had different sports showing on many TV's, a quieter room with tables by a fireplace if you prefer, and even several tables in the back by the electronic darts and pool tables if you wanted to sit near them and watch family or friends play or even join in! There was also some kids dancing in the back by the darts and some up front watching the big screen TV with basketball on, great environment. Everything we ate was delicious from crab soups, French onion soup, Buffalo wings to cheese steak, pizza and just wonderful crab cakes. All the food came out pretty quickly too. I do have to say we were Amazed by our waitress who was Awesome!! Not only did she keep coming over and asking if we needed anything and refilling our drinks, but I think she was 1 of only 2 waitresses on shift for all of the tables. We had a very enjoyable time here at Ott House and cannot wait to come back!Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly and family friendly. Great atmosphere for everyone!!“
“My partner and I came here after a session at Liberty Mountain Resort, about 10 mins away. Had a great time, there was a house pianist playing while we dined. Our server was gracious and the food pretty good. I ordered the Ahi Tuna for an appetizer, 10 straps with wasabi aioli, ginger and soy sauce. For my entree, I tried The Emmitsburg, named after the town its in. Roast beef cooked medium well with mashed potatoes and asparagus on top of garlic toast. For dessert, we tried the blackberry sorbet ice cream. Not too sweet, so she enjoyed. She also enjoyed the Moscato punch with her entree.“
“Dietary restrictions: I like powdered sugar on my pancakes but you can get them withoutParking: Parking lot is kinda narrow, riddled with potholes but not the worst you’ll ever have.Kid-friendliness: Kids love eggs ?Wheelchair accessibility: ♿️“
“Parking: A dedicated parking spot (1) is right out front & I've always used that space, I normally don't have any issues for parking. If I have to walk a block or 2, it's definitely worth my time.. pastries are 5 star.“
“We had a wonderful trip to Gettysburg for my 50th birthday. We stayed at the Farnsworth Inn and couldn't ask for better. We ran into a snafu with our room on our last night and had to switch rooms, they were very accomodating. Highly recommend the magic show.“
“We came here for breakfast and it was fantastic! We ate at the bar, with the "regulars" and they made us feel right at home. We had the crab cake benedict, the breakfast pizza and the ham and egg sandwich. The portions were large and everything was really tasty. The menu and décor screams diner, but the food is way better than that. It is a family business- food cooked by the two matriarchs of the family. I would highly recommend this place.“
“Service is impeccable. You feel like you've stepped back in time with your ancestors and are dining with them. The period costumes help take you back in time. Food was excellent! All is delicious but I must point out a star in the menu. The hearty onion soup (actually thick like a stew is the best I've ever had! It's been several months since I've been there and it's still remarkable in my mind. I find myself comparing every French onion soups to this one and they cannot measure up to this one!“
“This time I got the smash burger with cheddar cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato and mayo. Soooo delicious there is nowhere I've had a better burger ever in my life !! Next time I go I'll get a picture to share I was quite ravenous at the time. Great friendly atmosphere, great food and beer ! Highly recommend if you are in town .“
“Friendly Atmosphere, Clean and Cute place. The Staff definitely work well as a team. New Server, Derek is excellent and we were sure to relay compliments to the Front of the House Manager. One of the best Omelets and French Toast, we've ever had. Portions were perfect, Omelet was larger than anticipated and perfectly cooked. So happy, we made the trip from Maryland. Mike Travis' is A Must when passing through this gorgeous part of PA. Looking forward to our next visit.“
“We couldn't get in the summer. Too long of a line. Easily get seated in January and February lol. Absolutely delicious. Gonna keep going back till tourist season starts.Smokehouse BurgerSmokehouse Burger Went back the next weekend. We sat at the bar and had a fabulous brew draft from Baltimore called Nepenthe Boreal Crypt (Indian pale ale) and delicious burgers again“
“Music, good food, very timely sometimes faster then McDonald's,service is good, I heard they sometimes do special menus for late night jerk chicken, beef patties, roast and stir fry this food truck really is a one stop shopWheelchair accessibility: CJ's always makes sure that they provide outstanding service to all who visit“
“If you are ever in Gettysburg PA, and love buffets as much as I do, YOU gotta stop at General Picketts Buffet? All home country cooking with the BEST customer service you will ever receive, which is what I strive for when going anywhere!I couldn't believe how every single employee was so friendly and helpful and genuinely kind!We will definitely be coming back here every time we pass through Gettysburg, which isn't as often as I'd like, now that I found this little home away from home!Kid-friendliness: The employees were so kind and loving to all the children“
“This place was amazing. They gave everyone free shirts, and they were just the best place I’ve ever ever been to my life. This was the best seed ever been. I’ve been to Gordon Ramsay‘s homemade kitchen, and it was horrible compared to this.“
“We were lucky to stumble on this place on a Friday night. Great pizzas! We had the brisket pizza which was really good, and the calamari is on point. The back area has FREE GAMES, pool, shuffleboard, skeeball, hoops, and air hockey. After dinner we hung out and played games drinking the delicious local beers. Highly recommend!“
“Great value for breakfast food. I ordered the Ham and Cheese Omelet with mushrooms and I was very pleased with the quality for only $8; the service was speedy and the waiter was cordial. My friend ordered the Greek Omelet with asparagus and feta and it looked great, he said it was a good choice. I liked the small, mom-and-pop vibe of the restaurant; I would recommend this to anyone wanting a nice sit down breakfast while at Liberty Mountain Resort.“
