“We found Sanders by accident and are now regulars. The Mexican Street Corn Hash is the best breakfast I ever had. We love dinner as a family here because you can get delicious Mexican and Italian food so everyone in the family finds something they love. It’s inexpensive by today’s standards and the staff is as friendly as it gets. Go here and support local businesses and get great food!“

“So many tasty food options beyond the typical amusement park fried fare that we much preferred the comfort and ease of indoor buffet to the outside BBQ or the higher priced restaurants you see at most ski resorts. As crazy as it can be for a cafeteria or marketplace, the cooking staff actually seemed to care and take time and care in preparing the meals (e.g., quesadilla, grilled cheese, potato)! The only problem? Price... but of course, we are at a ski resort and it could be worse.“

“My wife and I are locals in Fairfield. We had not been there for quite some time. I used to attend an open mic hosted by a friend Dempsey Price some years ago. Nice atmosphere. This Friday evening we walked into Taverna and had one of the best dinners. I have to say, I’m a lover of a good Ribeye. Here’s my review of my Ribeye Friday evening. To the chef: This was the best Ribeye steak I have ever had. Cooked perfectly at med/rare. Seasoned perfectly. As tender of a steak you could possibly get. Topped with a brown sauce/ gravy and crispy onion straws. Asparagus’s side cooked perfect. With side salad. I’ll will be back for another one soon. My wife had a pair of wonderfully made crab cakes with buttered Broccoli florets along with a beautifully made side Salad. Thank you Taverna for having great service and food paired with an affordable relaxing atmosphere. We shall return soon in the future! Happy Holidays/ Merry Christmas!!!“

“Delicious food. We had the prime rib special which was very flavorful. Fish and chips was lightly breaded and cooked perfectly. Fries were crispy and delicious. My wife had the meatloaf which was very good, the onions give it extra crunch. Food was excellent. We got the clam dip for an appetizer.

“Stayed for the first time and it will not be the last. The history and preservation being done by the new owners truly honors the past. Our room was beautiful and breakfast was great. The owners were fantastic and knew a lot of the history. Highly recommend a stay here.“

“Springhouse Tavern: The casual, atmospheric below-ground Springhouse Tavern at the Dobbin House is our favorite restaurant in Gettysburg. Whenever we visit Gettysburg, this is the one restaurant where we must dine. Its food quality, hospitality and authentic historic environment are consistently wonderful no matter how much time has passed. This time we were here with friends. We enjoyed cocktails on their outside patio while waiting for our table. The service and hospitality on the patio as well as in the Springhouse Tavern was efficient, delightful and helpful. The food was delicious, as always. The crab cake was especially delicious. This place is timeless Gettysburg. ACCESSIBILITY: This is a 248-year-old building on the National Register of Historic Places; needless to say, there isn’t a ramp or elevator to the below-ground Springhouse Tavern. However, other than a couple steps at the top and bottom, the stairs have railings on both sides, the step height is moderate, and the walls are close enough to put a hand on if needed. Even though I have mobility limitations, I was able to access the underground tavern. Once downstairs, there was adequate space for me to get around with my walker.“

“Had amazing service! We went in on Sunday and they had a special menu. My grandmother and I went when they had their mother’s day and we had an amazing filet mignon with mushroom sauce. Unfortunately it was not in the Sunday menu so we asked if there was any way they still could make it. The chef was so kind and made it for us. It was just as great as last time and It truly made our outing amazing. We definitely recommend others to try it!“

“This inn was amazing! The rooms are huge, the decor is amazing battle of gettysburg themed. The staff is so nice! I genuinely felt like the staff enjoyed talking to us. My name Erin, means Ireland. The front desk worker saw that and put us into a room that had a huge painting depicting the ‘Pride of Erin’ or the Irish Brigade. It was beautiful, fun and lovely. The pub in the building was delicious, the wait staff enjoyed chatting and gave great service. They told us all the best places to eat and gave us tips for visiting. When I come back into town, I don’t want to go anywhere else!“
