“Absolutely loved coming to this place as a hiker I was welcomed at the door, and promptly offered a cold drink. I was able to set up a tent in the back and take a nice hot shower before coming in for a fantastic meal and catered at every moment by everyone in the staff from the owner to the bartenders. I ended up staying for a few days. Really enjoyed meeting the locals and again I can't complement the staff enough on their hospitality, kindness and willingness to go out of their way to provide a perfect experience.“
“This is a very good place to go if you love hoagies. They have a variety of different types of meals chicken dinners pizzas Etc they also have delivery that helps if you don't want to doordash and have to pay extra money it's worth it.“
“The view is definitely the big selling point here. When you sit outside, you overlook the golf course--which means a long expanse of manicured green grass & mountains in the distance. The food was OK, but certainly nothing special. I had the rockfish po boy, which meant a small amount of fish & a whole lot of bun. The chips were good, much better than the French fries.“
“My husband and I have been a few times, and this past time we had the pleasure of our cook being Jacob. He came out as a break, and we expressed how great the food was and how flavorful it is and every single thing on the menu literally is fantastic especially the French onion soup with the beef tenderloin, and my husband had the duck on the appetizers which he says was fantastic and for entrées I've had the crabcakes And my husband has had the scallops again. Everything hears fantastic. The service is great but I would recommend a reservation, but this is our favorite restaurant in Waynesboro or Chambersburg. He was so kind as to thank us for being there he gave us a quart of free chili, and that again fantastic!! Thank you, and we will be regulars lol but serious!!! I wish I had photos to add, but it really doesn't matter because it would not even do it justice. You have to try the food, and I have read one of the reviews where it said the food was bland, and that they would not be back which is outrageous and I think just maybe they were, having a bad day because the food here is like I said wonderful & is VERY flavorful!!!“

“Out of town asked hotel for diner breakfast...The Wheelhouse Cafe didn't disappoint. Nice clean place. Definitely that local diner feel. Good diner coffee. Over medium eggs cooked just right. “We have been to the carisle location in the past and figured we'd give this one a try since we were in area our food was delicious and our waitress took care of us! Highly reccomend the Chesapeake fries however my only suggestion us to make them with waffle fries ?It was very chilly inside restaurant we kept our coats on the BBQ options were great! “Fries were absolutely what I was craving for. Brown gravy on the side, and I was in heaven. Restaurant was clean; did not feel or see any dirt. Service was fantastic. Burgers were terrific. We will definitely be back! Did I mention the terrific fries?“
“We were having a horrible bteakfast experience at Perkins. Sitting in a booth across the street we saw Chris's and decided to try it. Several people already there but we were greeted immediately with menus and coffee. It took a little while for breakfast to arrive, but our coffee was always full and it was worth the wait! We'll be returning and we highly recommend you give it a try.“
“I recommend the orchard for holidays like Mother's Day because they have a beautiful Mother's Day buffet and Father's Day I believe they normally have prime rib ham and all the works for a good price and you can stay a few hours and just enjoy yourself very good for families during the festivities.“

It's been years since I went in since I don't live in town anymore, but took my parents out to dinner there and it was amazing! Portions are gigantic, and Trista our server was very helpful. All is delicious but I must point out a star in the menu. The hearty onion soup (actually thick like a stew is the best I've ever had! “We loved the food, atmosphere, and even the service was good. What threw me off was when the waiter didn't bring the change back from the $200 in cash we gave him. I had tipped him $40 already. Our bill was around $140. So we sat and waited another 15 minutes for him to bring the cash. When I approached him near the kitchen entrance and asked about our change $60, he said he meant to bring it. If we had left, that would have been $100 tip. Everything else there was great. Food was awesome. The money thing didn't sit right with me though.“

“We had the Grandma Sampler but unfortunately, my pancakes were cold where the butter would not melt. The server took them back and never returned with hot ones. I had to ask a passing food runner to bring the pancakes. Not sure where the ball got dropped.“

“We came here and I was a little skeptical at first because no one was here when we arrived, but we went in and the staff was super friendly! We drove by the next day and the place was packed by the way. The food tastes great and I absolutely loved the blue theme the entire place has. I also loved the deja-vu it brought me by supplying little metal bowls for the ice cream! I had the biscuits and gravy...it was amazing!!! Being a Christian, it has a Bible quote on the wall which I loved about it. “Stumbled upon this little pub in our travels. The food was delicious, the prices were reasonable, and the staff was friendly! We ordered fried mushrooms, a chicken quesedilla, and garlic parm old bay wings. ? had IPAs on tap and full liquor bar. No complaints here, other than the atmosphere could use maybe a little better lighting and decorations, but for a cute little dive bar, it was an excellent Thurs evening to experience some place new! “Came here for night out with friends. We were seated in the open portion of the bar area. They had a few food specials and drinks specials that lasted the night. Food on what we ordered was better than average. Good enough that I would order the same things again. But also had enough to me on others. Service stayed on top of things are enter visit. Prices for atmosphere was in line. I do recommend this place for a night out.“

“We stayed overnight in a hotel in the area. We were looking for a place to eat. Drove by Arooga’s. Rather quiet looking from the outside; however inside proved to be surprising! Friendly reception. Good service. Drinks cold. Pub style food was delicious. Just hit the spot! Plus servers were wearing “feel your boobies” tshirts to support breast cancer awareness!! “My daughter treated me to lunch here, and I'll definitely be back in the future. The atmosphere was nice, the prices were good, our waitress was very friendly and helpful, and the Reuben sandwich that I ordered tasted better than the ones I've had in expensive restaurants. The sandwich was stand alone and I would have liked a few chips to have been included, but it was delicious and filling on its own. Altogether, a wonderful lunchtime experience.“
