Also had a cheese steak Stromboli which was delish. The Italian sub I had needed more meat and cheese inside of it, but good flavors. The waitress was super friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back!“

We held our daughter and son-in-law’s 25th Anniversary there and they were absolutely amazing. The food was absolutely delicious. “Today, had lunch at The First Post in York, PA. The place is nice and spacious, located on East Market Street. Our party of four shared a ravioli appetizer and had French Onion soup. Both were delicious!!! Easily the best French Onion soup I've eaten!!! For lunch, we each had something different. My Aunt had Salmon Salad. My wife had The Post Steak Sandwich with fries. Our son had the Blackened Shrimp Alfredo. I settled for.the Fish & Chips!! Each of us loved our meals - taking at least half home!! The portions were enormous!!! To wrap up, we decided on some dessert. My Aunt and wife had the Creme Brulee. My son and I had the Chocolate Reese Cake Tort. So good!!!! Service was phenomenal!! If in the York, PA area, you MUST stop in and eat up!!!“

“When friends come to town we go to Bully’s. It is the place to go for casual upscale dining in Columbia. I have been taking guests there since Dave and Sherry opened 25 years ago and have always had a great experience. There are always great choices on the menu and the atmosphere is fun and historic. The unique wedge shaped site at the intersection of Lancaster Avenue and Union Street features plenty of parking and an onsite bakery. The owners are great supporters of the community and have been hands-on in all aspects of the operation. Well appointed guest rooms are available above the restaurant. “Went on a busy Friday night but hostess was able to accommodate myself and two daughters. I was in a rush and was pleasantly surprised by the speed of service by the wait staff and kitchen. Everyone was pleasant, food was excellent (kids had burgers and fries and I had the chicken sandwich). Had a long drive home and we arrived at 7:15 and left by 7:50 with full bellies, fun atmosphere, great staff… which was ideal! Highly recommended!“

“We visited this location on 4/4/2026. We decided to eat here since it's close to.the college my son attends. This was our first time ever eating at Cheddar's. The food and service was excellent. My son loved the Buffalo chicken wraps. My daughter got the tender meal but only at the fries, because she ate some of my wife's steak. Normally we have to find a place that serves lamb for her to eat something other than tenders when we go out.“

“We just celebrated our Dover Area High School graduate this past Saturday (5/31/25) at the Roosevelt Tavern, and everything—from the food to the atmosphere to the service—was absolutely FANTASTIC.

What made the day even more meaningful is the personal connection we have with this place. The father of my children, Edward “Peewee” Green, was a chef here many years ago under the previous owner, Bob Schimmel. Sadly, he passed away in November of 2012. Though my kids were only 4 and 5 years old at the time, many patrons still fondly remember him and speak so highly of his time at the Roosevelt.

What we didn’t expect—what truly left us speechless—was the incredible gesture from the current owner. Unbeknownst to us, he had held onto one of Peewee’s old chef coats for the past 15 years, and he gifted it to our graduate during the celebration. That thoughtful, deeply touching act gave our kids a priceless piece of their father’s legacy—a physical connection to a man they’ve heard so much about, but lost too soon.

We are forever grateful for that moment. It meant the world to me and to our family. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.“

“About a year ago, I went to John Wright Restaurant for Sunday brunch with a group of friends. I didn’t know what to expect, but the moment I arrived, I was struck by the beautiful waterfront scenery and the stunning, rustic building. Inside, that old-world charm blends perfectly with an upscale dining vibe, giving the place a truly special and unique energy. The brunch was absolutely delicious—so many options, including my personal favorite, eggs Benedict. Fast forward to last night: I stopped in for happy hour with a friend, and we grabbed seats at the bar. It was surprisingly comfortable and not overcrowded at all. The two bartenders were fantastic—warm, funny, and attentive. And the cocktails… OH MY GOSH. Just try them. You’ll thank me later! We ordered the calamari and crab risotto small plates, and they were so good that we immediately ordered a second round of the exact same thing. From a relaxed Sunday brunch, to after-work apps and cocktails, to a special dinner out—John Wright Restaurant gets a solid 10/10 from me. 🍽️“

“A bit disappointed. Love the space but my meal was nothing special. Mixed vegetables were good but only warm. Baked potato was warmer, but not hot. The star of the show would have been the crab cake but there was nothing special there. The menu says jumbo lump crab. If there was lump crab meat, then they shredded it up to make the cake. I could get a crab cake that good or better almost anywhere. We've had good food here in the past, but unfortunately this meal was nothing special.“

“I just wanna say a big thank you to the owners and employees of J&B’s. My father is sick fighting cancer in the hospital right now, he LOVES J&B’s breakfast. I came in last week and I didn’t even need to repeat his order that I hardly knew and was stressed about messing it up, the owner, knew immediately who my father was, knew his exact specific, kinda odd order, had it done in less than 5 mins and was wrapped in foil to keep it warm for my hour drive to Hershey. After all of that, she refused payment. And said “tell Uppie to get well and this is on us”. Truly meant the world to me. I just wanted to say thank you and you really helped my heart that day, and my dad’s spirits.“

“We went on 2/8/25. Staying at the Hampton inn for a dance comp. Our waiter, unfortunately l, didn’t catch his name was absolutely AMAZING! More people kept getting added to our party, he, without hesitation, added more tables and chairs. He took our orders and separated the checks without us even asking. He just really went above and beyond and was amazing! I hope he gets the recognition he deserves! Thank you again! Food and drinks were 10/10!“

“This is not just a bar. Kelly made us feel like we had been old friends. I cannot say enough about the delicious food. The lunch menu is out of this world. I would tell you if you are looking for great food and a place go to Alley Oops Sports Bar & Grill is where to go. I will definitely do the hour drive and come back again to try the crab cakes that Kelly suggested. 👍“

Great comfort food and and very good menu. Prices were slightly high but very generous portions. Our son had the buffalo mac &, cheese, I had the French dip, my wife had the open faced turkey sandwich and our son's girlfriend had the mashed potato bowl, which was part of the winter comfort menu. Everything was perfectly done and most of us had enough to take home.
Dessert menu was limited but all options were very good.
Fun drinks and good portions.
Alissa, our server, was very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable.
On street parking but plenty in the area.
Will probably become a go-to place for us.“

“This restaurant is Excellent in Every category! I have Never had a bad meal at this restaurant. The food is just as great as the view overlooking the golf course. There is plenty of seating, a large game room and many options! The bathrooms are clean and the waiters and waitresses are excellent! Honestly, I don’t know how anyone could knock this place. In my book it is Top Notch on all levels!“

“Arrived in town for a short stay from Florida. The minute we arrived we were greeted by professional and young college kids at the hostess stand. We waited for 10 minutes while our table was assigned. Perfect table on the terrace facing the 18th hole. Sarah our hostess from Penn state was a joy to get to know. We all ordered from the huge menu selection and couldnt decide what to order. We saw The table next to us and the presentation looked amazing. We finally ordered steaks and salmon as our meal with delicious drinks. Perfect Saturday night at a great venue in York Pa. Keep up the great work Shaun Conway and your team. We will be back. “My experience at Longhorn Steakhouse was the best we've had without a doubt. There was no wait so we were seated right away and the booth was large and clean.

Trista attended to our table promptly and so thoroughly that we didn't have to ask for anything additional.

Usually we have to ask for additional napkins for our kids, A1 Sauce for my daughter's steak, sometimes we have to ask for the bread, but with Trista, she was on top of all of this without even being asked. She was very comprehensive in the service she provided and expertly anticipated our needs.

I would consider this one of the most memorable dining experiences we've had in recent memory and would love to visit again to receive the same experience.“

“When we first walked in it felt like we walked back in time to the 70s. Being children in the 70s this was great!! We loved the atmosphere! The service was top notch. Hailey took great care of us! The crab was delicious. We will be back. If I have to pin point anything I would change would be the seasoning on the crabs were too heavy for me so I will ask for light seasoning next time. And one more thing my husband's food took a very long time to get to the table. We were in no hurry but it was a long time after I received my crabs. They were busy though and we will definitely be back.“

You are allowed to smoke in the bar, so if cigarettes bother you, it's probably not the place to go for you. You can take your drinks into the bowling alley and play a few games while you drink! I always have a good time there.“
