“Our son's wedding reception was held here, and it was our first time visiting. I was being a bit nosy about the basement when a gentleman who worked there noticed and kindly asked if we’d like to take a peek. Thank you again — that small gesture showed how much you care about your visitors’ experience. During the reception, a family with three young kids started to get a little bored. That same gentleman came out with a basket of brand-new Matchbox cars and gave each child one. Wow! What a thoughtful and above-and-beyond thing to do. You truly helped make their day — and ours — even brighter. Thank you for your kindness and hospitality!“

“Be careful if going here. It looks like they are having real issues with trouble makers, which can happen with any tavern along the river. About 10 days ago they confronted a person outside who refused to pay. That guy pulled a gun on the employee and threatened to shoot them in the head. Look online, you'll see the news story. We went there with another couple anyway for supper aware of the situation that possibly the management wasn't able to keep the trouble out of the place. Within minutes Courtney had our drinks at the table and placed our food orders ... and then some white trash at the bar left out a super loud screech or whistle looking for attention. It was bad. Then he did it again a few minutes later and left. One more time and I'd have gotten involved. The owner needs to hire some beefy enforcement right now to keep a handle on this or the place is going to get a reputation like the Bainbridge Inn as a good place to raise hell and start a fight. NOT date night atmosphere.“

“Today, had lunch at The First Post in York, PA. The place is nice and spacious, located on East Market Street. Our party of four shared a ravioli appetizer and had French Onion soup. Both were delicious!!! Easily the best French Onion soup I've eaten!!! For lunch, we each had something different. My Aunt had Salmon Salad. My wife had The Post Steak Sandwich with fries. Our son had the Blackened Shrimp Alfredo. I settled for.the Fish & Chips!! Each of us loved our meals - taking at least half home!! The portions were enormous!!! To wrap up, we decided on some dessert. My Aunt and wife had the Creme Brulee. My son and I had the Chocolate Reese Cake Tort. So good!!!! Service was phenomenal!! If in the York, PA area, you MUST stop in and eat up!!!“

“When friends come to town we go to Bully’s. It is the place to go for casual upscale dining in Columbia. I have been taking guests there since Dave and Sherry opened 25 years ago and have always had a great experience. There are always great choices on the menu and the atmosphere is fun and historic. The unique wedge shaped site at the intersection of Lancaster Avenue and Union Street features plenty of parking and an onsite bakery. The owners are great supporters of the community and have been hands-on in all aspects of the operation. Well appointed guest rooms are available above the restaurant. If you want a great meal, a wide selection of beverages and an enjoyable experience visit Bully’s soon.“

The brunch was absolutely delicious—so many options, including my personal favorite, eggs Benedict. Fast forward to last night: I stopped in for happy hour with a friend, and we grabbed seats at the bar. It was surprisingly comfortable and not overcrowded at all. The two bartenders were fantastic—warm, funny, and attentive. And the cocktails… OH MY GOSH. Just try them. You’ll thank me later! We ordered the calamari and crab risotto small plates, and they were so good that we immediately ordered a second round of the exact same thing. From a relaxed Sunday brunch, to after-work apps and cocktails, to a special dinner out—John Wright Restaurant gets a solid 10/10 from me. 🍽️“

“A bit disappointed. Love the space but my meal was nothing special. Mixed vegetables were good but only warm. Baked potato was warmer, but not hot. The star of the show would have been the crab cake but there was nothing special there. The menu says jumbo lump crab. If there was lump crab meat, then they shredded it up to make the cake. I could get a crab cake that good or better almost anywhere. We've had good food here in the past, but unfortunately this meal was nothing special.“

“We went on 2/8/25. Staying at the Hampton inn for a dance comp. Our waiter, unfortunately l, didn’t catch his name was absolutely AMAZING! More people kept getting added to our party, he, without hesitation, added more tables and chairs. He took our orders and separated the checks without us even asking. He just really went above and beyond and was amazing! I hope he gets the recognition he deserves! Thank you again! Food and drinks were 10/10!“

“This place is so underrated. I don't get it, the parking lot is practically empty all the time but this place is legit the best restaurant in the area. The food is always unique, the draft beer selection is second to none in this town (have to go to Lancaster city or Harrisburg to compete with this). Music selection is good, servers are chill... I don't get why this place isn't packed. If u pass thru Etown u need to go to the Black Gryphon.“

Great comfort food and and very good menu. Prices were slightly high but very generous portions. Our son had the buffalo mac &, cheese, I had the French dip, my wife had the open faced turkey sandwich and our son's girlfriend had the mashed potato bowl, which was part of the winter comfort menu. Everything was perfectly done and most of us had enough to take home.
Dessert menu was limited but all options were very good.
Fun drinks and good portions.

“Arrived in town for a short stay from Florida. The minute we arrived we were greeted by professional and young college kids at the hostess stand. We waited for 10 minutes while our table was assigned. Perfect table on the terrace facing the 18th hole. Sarah our hostess from Penn state was a joy to get to know. We all ordered from the huge menu selection and couldnt decide what to order. We saw The table next to us and the presentation looked amazing. We finally ordered steaks and salmon as our meal with delicious drinks. Perfect Saturday night at a great venue in York Pa. Keep up the great work Shaun Conway and your team. We will be back. “My husband and I tried this establishment for the first time last night. We were greeted right away and told to sit where we liked. Our waitress came by our table a couple minutes later to take our drink order. My husband had a bacon cheeseburger and fries, and I ordered a large dinner salad and a chicken breast sandwich. I also ordered a side of cinnamon applesauce and a side of coleslaw. Our food came out pretty quickly. My salad was fresh and my grilled chicken was very tasty. My husband said his bacon cheeseburger was done perfectly. The coleslaw was just a tad bit on the sweet side, but still flavorful. I really enjoyed the applesauce; it wasn't overly sweet and there was just the right amount of cinnamon on it. The restaurant was clean and the staff were super friendly. The best part was we didn't have to spend a fortune for a nice dinner.“

“My experience at Longhorn Steakhouse was the best we've had without a doubt. There was no wait so we were seated right away and the booth was large and clean.

Trista attended to our table promptly and so thoroughly that we didn't have to ask for anything additional.

Usually we have to ask for additional napkins for our kids, A1 Sauce for my daughter's steak, sometimes we have to ask for the bread, but with Trista, she was on top of all of this without even being asked. She was very comprehensive in the service she provided and expertly anticipated our needs.

I would consider this one of the most memorable dining experiences we've had in recent memory and would love to visit again to receive the same experience.“
