“This place is so underrated. I don't get it, the parking lot is practically empty all the time but this place is legit the best restaurant in the area. The food is always unique, the draft beer selection is second to none in this town (have to go to Lancaster city or Harrisburg to compete with this). Music selection is good, servers are chill... I don't get why this place isn't packed. If u pass thru Etown u need to go to the Black Gryphon.“

“I stop here at least once a week. Their beverages are wonderful...sandwiches aren't bad either. Their soups on the other hand leave a lot to be desired. I had the veggie last week...it was so peppery that I couldn't eat it...I had the Italian Wedding soup this week...that was just a downright disgrace! The broth was so salty and I have never had or made Italian wedding soup with sausage meatballs...there wasn't any chicken to be found and carrots, spinach and orzo were nonexistent. The broth was so dark at first I thought they made a mistake. Lesson learned...next time I want Italian Wedding soup I will make my own.“

“After a date night with Kelly Miller where we thoroughly enjoyed the best smoked wings we've ever had, a melt in your mouth wagu cheese steak, the finest ribeye steak she's ever had, and the best old fashions I've ever had at The 1762 At The Warwick Hotel, we can't say enough about how incredible the food and drinks are here. “We visited Bullies Saturday evening, 4/9. For starters I had the mussels. Absolutely delicious. I'd go back just for them. My wife had bacon wrapped scallops. They were really good, also. For entrees I had the Kona tenderloin steak. It was perfectly cooked and fork tender. My only issue, it came out barely luke warm. Same for my French fries. I'd call them cold. The roasted brussel sprouts, which I was really anticipating, were tasty, but all but burned and only luke warm. Though I should have said something to the server, I didn't. My bad. My wife's meal, beef tenderloin tips, were perfectly cooked, hot and fork tender, with mushroom and onion gravy. They were on a bed of rice. Dessert was creme brulee and NY cheesecake. Both were very good. I was disappointed with the cheesecake slice, being about half the size of what I consider a normal sized slice. All in all, a tasty meal. I'd return, but in the future insist on a HOT meal, not luke warm.“

“Our son's wedding reception was held here, and it was our first time visiting. I was being a bit nosy about the basement when a gentleman who worked there noticed and kindly asked if we’d like to take a peek. Thank you again — that small gesture showed how much you care about your visitors’ experience. During the reception, a family with three young kids started to get a little bored. That same gentleman came out with a basket of brand-new Matchbox cars and gave each child one. Wow! What a thoughtful and above-and-beyond thing to do. “About a year ago, I went to John Wright Restaurant for Sunday brunch with a group of friends. I didn’t know what to expect, but the moment I arrived, I was struck by the beautiful waterfront scenery and the stunning, rustic building. The brunch was absolutely delicious—so many options, including my personal favorite, eggs Benedict. Fast forward to last night: I stopped in for happy hour with a friend, and we grabbed seats at the bar. It was surprisingly comfortable and not overcrowded at all. The two bartenders were fantastic—warm, funny, and attentive. And the cocktails… OH MY GOSH. Just try them. You’ll thank me later! We ordered the calamari and crab risotto small plates, and they were so good that we immediately ordered a second round of the exact same thing. From a relaxed Sunday brunch, to after-work apps and cocktails, to a special dinner out—John Wright Restaurant gets a solid 10/10 from me. 🍽️“

“Be careful if going here. It looks like they are having real issues with trouble makers, which can happen with any tavern along the river. About 10 days ago they confronted a person outside who refused to pay. That guy pulled a gun on the employee and threatened to shoot them in the head. Look online, you'll see the news story. We went there with another couple anyway for supper aware of the situation that possibly the management wasn't able to keep the trouble out of the place. Within minutes Courtney had our drinks at the table and placed our food orders ... and then some white trash at the bar left out a super loud screech or whistle looking for attention. It was bad. Then he did it again a few minutes later and left. One more time and I'd have gotten involved. The owner needs to hire some beefy enforcement right now to keep a handle on this or the place is going to get a reputation like the Bainbridge Inn as a good place to raise hell and start a fight. NOT date night atmosphere.“

“I love the crab fries they are the best ever if a little spicy for some of the kids. I really wish they would bring back the bacon and blue burger that they used to have because I would get that all the time. I like the fact that there is a refill station nearby so I can have one person get a drink while I'm waiting in line.“

“BEST BURGER IN HERSHEY! My wife and I have come to this restaurant many times but it’s the Ole Standby burger that keeps us coming back. We’ve tried many other menu items and have never had a bad meal. The drinks are great, the atmosphere is great, and the service is great. It’s one of our go to date night spots. A reservation is always a good idea as they get busy quick.“

“Bills takes me back to a time when I was a young child. It's a beautiful old restaurant. The staff are fantastic, especially the older lady who waited on us. She said she was the waitress there from the time it was opened, many years ago. Food is fantastic! We always went for the breakfast, which came quick and was always delicious! Pricing is very reasonable. The only thing that I would change is, you have to pay cash, no cards. But, I did say it took me back. Thanks Bill, great job!“

“Wow!! Amazing service - we had Jamie as our sever. She was great, very attentive, knew exactly what we needed before even asking, super sweet. We have gluten and dairy allergies, she told the chef who personally came out to tell us what we can have. (Which surprisingly was a lot of options!) The chef then also came and hand delivered those gluten free and dairy free meals and then came back a third time to check on us. We have been to PLENTY of restaurants all of which have never done that. When we visit Hershey, we will for sure be back!

“When we go we always sit at the bar. The staff are a riot and make you feel at home. Hanging with the regulars is very entertaining and enjoyable! Everything we’ve ordered has been delicious!“

“The place has a very unique look and feel but the staff was welcoming.

There is street parking but we later saw a parking lot around the other side of the building. It probably would have been easier to park in the lot. The street was fairly crowded.

The bartender was working both the bar and the dining room and she was super busy but she checked on us a few times and we never really found ourselves waiting too long for anything.

The dining room was separated from the bar area so that's good.

This was our first time here.

We showed up for the wings which are top notch. Super saucy, cooked well, and tasty.

The cowboy fries where a table favorite. Boardwalk style fries with shaved beef, brown gravy, and cheese.

The buffalo fried shrimp a table favorite. Simple... Fried shrimp covered in buffalo sauce.

Very good beer battered onion rings. Not that bread crumb crappy stuff.

We had a party of 4 and everyone was happy with the food and the cocktails.

No complaining from us about anything. We will return for food some time again in the future.“
