“The food is to die for, you cannot pick a wrong item! We got the crab dip appetizer, pulled pork entree, crab cake sandwich and the kid's mini dog with fries. Everything was spectacular. Highly recommend the apples and cinnamon as a side! The staff is helpful and attentive from the host all the way to the waitress and managers. I've never been to a restaurant where the service is so great! We will definitely be a return customer 😊 Side note: The restaurant is extremely kid friendly and accommodating. They have high chairs and tables with enough room to fit the high chair or a stroller while still having enough room for everyone else.“

We haven’t been there for a few years because we live several hours away, but went out of our way to go today and it was even better than we remembered. “This is our very favorite restaurant, however due to a very large crowd this evening, we had to sit at the bar. It was nice at first. But our waitress/bartender was a bit rude to us and didn't even check on how our meals came out, offer more beverages, refills and did not offer dessert. We usually tip very well but didn't this time. The crowd had really dispersed by the time we had our meals so there was really no excuse for the bad service. We will continue to go back of course becasue we love it there but hoping for a better experience.“

“The three of us went for a late lunch and even though we had to wait about 20-25 minutes to get a seat, the staff for the most part were really friendly. One of the waitresses has been there for a long time and is always super friendly to my mom and I. Food came out fairly quickly and tasted wonderful“

“Penley's Pub is a recent addition to Dutch Wonderland. It's the first restaurant inside the park that serves alcohol and they have a great selection of local beers. They also have a few food options focusing on pretzels and sausages. The prices are decent given that it's inside an amusement park.“

“My wife and I came here for our anniversary. The restaurant experience felt like we were trully guests being taken care of. The food was delicious and artistically put together. Our server, Matthew, was the best. He really felt like a part of the experience, and someone who took pride in his work. Thank you Gibraltar for a wonderful evening. “We had a group of 28 for dinner and drinks. The staff handled our group like pros! Yes, we had a little extra wait time with such a large group which was to be expected, but the crew was on top of our drink service and checked back frequently to follow up on our needs. No easy task serving so many at once- Carmen and Johanna were on top of things and Jess was thrown into the fire with it being her first night on the job - you would have never known.! Everyone was happy with their meals, great food and friendly service.

“Spring/summer/early fall Friday night live band nights are always fun. Recently discovered the Birds Nest Deck to watch the Eagles games and I won’t watch them anywhere else now. I believe there has been a change of ownership since the past (2021) and I definitely think they are moving in the right direction.“

“For what it is, it was pretty good. Five guy like fries, my kids liked the pizza burger and hot dog, I enjoyed my fried chicken sandwich and it was inexpensive. The guy answered all questions, stern but straightforward and made the transaction easier. I would get food from there again.“

“This was our first visit to the Fulton Steamboat Inn after a family recommended it—and it was such a fun experience! I mean, who wouldn’t want to sleep on a steamboat? The rooms have so much charm and felt slightly updated while still keeping that cozy, themed feel. Everything was super clean, and the grounds were beautifully maintained. The kids loved the playground and pool, and we all enjoyed strolling around the little lake—especially spotting all the baby ducks! The only downside was that breakfast isn’t included. We didn’t try the on-site restaurant, but there are plenty of great local spots nearby. Overall, a fun and memorable stay—highly recommend!“

“I've eaten here a number of times and, I think they switched over to using smash burgers so, two patties is recommended. Today, they had our hamburgers sitting on the counter getting cold until the fries were done, Bummer. Fries were good.“

Very loud group next to us, so towards the end of our dining conversation had become nearly impossible. Good reviews on their soda bread, shepherd's pie, and classic fish & chips! “This place is hands down one of the top restaurants in Pennsylvania, maybe even the United States. Places can definitely benefit from taking lessons how they prepare food here at John J Jeffries. My wife and I were taking back by how delicious everything was prepared and tasted. Down to the scrumptious dessert.
We discovered this place while while visiting Lancaster one weekend, there is a great app the I highly recommend call Seed Oil Scout, it's less than $10 for a whole year and it lets you know what restaurants cook with healthy methods. Extra Virgin Olive 🫒 Oil, instead of the poisonous seed oil which are slowly killing our society. This place is the best, farm to table. I've eaten at some of the nicest restaurants in the Philadelphia area and nothing comes close.
I was very taken back by some of the one star ⭐ reviews, I recommend that everyone due their due diligence and check the one star reviews first it gives you a good idea of what the place is going to be like, unfortunately you have to wade through a bunch of spoiled brats that just like to complain, one person goes on about their bratty loud kid and how they were racially profiled, really. Some people just think their kids can do no wrong. I have 14 and believe me, sometimes they are loud and need to go to the bathroom for a spanking. If you do read the 1 star reviews you will unfortunately see a trend, it's not the food. Staffing issues comes up over and over, it's very difficult in this day and age to find good help and as you can see they can encourage people to leave undeserved one⭐ Also it's interesting to mention that when you look at Newest reviews there is a one ⭐ and 2 ⭐⭐ ⭐'s reviews but they were nearly 6 months ago so hopefully the issues have been addressed. I wish John J Jeffries all the luck. I can't wait to eat their again. I have shared our experience with countless friends. Plus our server was extraordinary! Thank you.“
