“The service was perfect. The food was delicious. Fresh bread softened butter. I had scallops wrapped in bacon with a fabulous horseradish sauce. Mango salad. I had crab cakes, roasted red potatoes and coleslaw. I brought a delicious cake home with butter rum sauce. I highly recommend this restaurant.“

Today was my first time experiencing Brooklyn Place and I must say that I am very pleased.
Went in thinking it was just a Cafe and I wanted to support a local Cafe in my area of Reading, to my surprise it is a full restaurant.
The staff is very polite and go above and beyond for their customers. Nice quiet place, comfortable atmosphere and plenty of parking in this shopping center.

My order was a large iced coffee, a veggie omelette with home fries, rye toast and a side of sausage. Total cost was $18 and some change.

Iced coffee: Best I have ever had. I have previously worked in cafes and Starbucks, also I am a coffee fiend, and try new places often. In my 37 years on this planet, I have never had an iced coffee this good. Just with cream and sugar.
Veggie Omelette: Delicious, but a tad bit on the greasy side. Very fair with the ingredients/fillings, without being too dense, still fluffy.
Home Fries: Soft, golden brown, seasoned cubes of joy. Very good. Personally I would like them fried just a little longer to give them a light crunch.
Rye Toast and Sausage: Bagged Rye sandwich bread, not seeded. Basic, but honestly we don't need some fancy bread or anything like that. A thumbs up for the toast and sausage links.

Definitely will be coming back and bringing family. They got themselves a new recurring customer.“

Instantly greeted at the door with smiles. Our server was friendly, happy and very attentive. The Manager (I believe DJ) checked on us a few times to make sure we were taken care of and he was very good with talking with the other tables as well to see how they were doing. Not a huge fan of restaurant chains but this Applebees definitely made me want to come back again.“

“10/10 all way around!! Julia was our server and she was super sweet!! Was very informative about the food and what options we had to choose from. She was very friendly!!! The food was amazing!!! We got 4 different dishes so we could try a little bit of everything! The coffee was absolutely perfect! We both got cappuccinos. We also got the cannoli french toast, cream chipped beef, garden omelette and the reuben. The sweet potato fries are light and crispy. Definitely on the pricey side but was 100% worth it for our anniversary date. We love to support local small businesses!!“

Dare I say it, the last of a dying breed.I've met some of the most fun and prolific characters at 24 who've made me feel at home in Pennsylvania, although I am from afar, i.e. Philly . The kind of folks who go out of their way to say hello as they make their way to the bar.Sometimes, after work, feeling a bit peckish, I will peruse the menu and discover some great interpretations of salads (Caesar) and snacks (Truffle fries) that hit the spot and keep me busy enjoying one of my favorite past times: eating. “First time there.. Service was fast and good! We ate outside and I read negative reviews about the flies, bugs, and bees. It wasn't worse than any other outside eating establishment. It was a warm summer night. Great atmosphere outside, and good music. The food was a little expensive but you get what you paid for and I got 2 dozen clams and a cali burger and a few drinks. The meal was great and i'm ready to go back again. Plenty of parking and the tables are spread out nicely to give you distance from others.“
