Kawa Hibachi Sushi is an ideal spot for a work lunch in Allison Park. I ordered the scallop bento box, which was a perfect blend of flavors—tender scallops, a nice portion of rice, veggies, and a side of fresh sushi. It was satisfying without being too heavy, making it a great choice for the middle of the workday. The grapefruit boba complemented the meal with its refreshing, slightly tart flavor, adding a unique twist to the lunch.
The restaurant has a laid-back yet vibrant atmosphere, perfect for a quick lunch break or even an informal work meeting. Whether you're looking to grab a bite alone or meet up with a colleague, Kawa provides just the right ambiance. Their menu offers a great selection of sushi, hibachi, and other Japanese dishes, ensuring there's something for everyone.
Service was quick, and the staff was friendly, making it a seamless dining experience. If you're in the Allison Park area and looking for a place that serves delicious food with a variety of options, Kawa is definitely worth a visit. I'll certainly be returning for another great lunch!
Wheelchair accessibility: Open parking lot but the 2 sets of doors are manually operated. Once in the tables can move and it's great!

Food was good, but they forgot to include the sauces you pay extra for. I called to see if I could get a couple bucks taken off since we didn't get the sauces. I was hung up on after saying the name of the order.

Went here on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. We ordered the shrimp and filet mignon hibachi plate, sashimi appetizer, salmon avocado roll, with tempura ice cream and mochi for dessert. Everything was fresh, delicious and perfectly seasoned/not salty. A nice treat for date night.

Dietary restrictions: We spoke to the manager about our need for a strict gluten-free diet. The staff cleaned all surfaces and used new utensils to prepare our order. One sushi roll was adapted to become gluten-free. A custom-made sauce was prepared for the salad. Free packets of gluten-free say sauce were provided.

The server Cory and the cashier Ethan gave me and my family great service. We were very tired of the normal restaurant experience and they helped level it up. The food was also absolutely amazing with complex flavors. We WILL be coming back and tipping WELL.

Went here for a birthday dinner after reading the great review. I’m not sure how this place is getting such high reviews. The sushi was decent but the hibachi absolutely sucked! The chicken was over salted, steak was overcooked. The salad dressing needed more ginger and didn’t taste homemade and the soup was lukewarm. I couldn’t even eat my vegetables as they didn’t taste fresh and could tell they were from a freezer bag, not to mention I took one bite of my fried rice and spit it out. Im not sure Ive ever had such terrible fried rice. The steak sauce and yum yum were missing the taste I am used to from other hibachi places around the area and tasted very cheaply made and highly processed. Just do yourself a favor and go to Ichiban if you want decent Hibachi. If you want to just get sushi here you should be alright but I was really thrown off by how bad every aspect of the hibachi was.
