Medium well burger was burnt beyond recognition. I sent it back and our waitress was gracious enough to take it off our bill and get your pocket book if you’re going to eat here . Not our first time here , there prices were outrageous compared to what we were used to paying . Personally I will go to another place before I will pay $20.00 for a dozen wings here.

Got wings from here, they were extremely dry (did not order dry rub or anything) i ordered one drink told them I did not want another one and wanted only a water, brought me another drink and charged me even though I didn't drink it.

As we were headed through Altoona during dinner time, we decided to find a place to stop and eat. We made a great choice with Al’s Tavern. The wood panel walls and framed vintage posters give it a retro vibe. The food was really good. We split a Baked Ham and Cheese sub and a large order of fried. I didn’t love all of the lettuce and dressing on the sandwich but it was good enough that I would order it again. We appreciated that all of the wait staff shared responsibility for taking care of us, making sure our drinks were filled and we were happy. We are planning to stop again next time we are in the area.

We stopped here bc of Google reviews. We were passing through Altoona and decided to check it out. It’s definitely worth it. It has a great atmosphere and the staff are all fantastic. You don’t just have one server… they all come to your table and they’re very attentive. The food was good and the portions are huge. Prices are also good. Check it out!

Amazing food at a great price, definitely recommend the award winning wings and the Al's bread sticks. You won't be disappointed.
We are from Canada and go to Buffalo for wings at the Anchor Bar where apparently the “wing” was invented. Al’s Tavern blew away the Anchor Bar. Service was fantastic. Staff were friendly portions were huge. A shout out to Al’s Daughter-in-law, you’re the best! How did you get the beers so cold? We will definitely be back!!!
