A long time ago, when I was working at Texas Roadhouse, a colleague of mine took it upon himself to order a bunch of wings from black and gold for our Christmas meeting/ party thing. Chipping in for the wings wasn't mandatory, but a room full of servers with cash on hand and food that came from the outside, I'm sure the burden wasn't that of a financial loss. However, they were the best wings that I have had in a very long time. Maybe ever. A few years had gone by since the first time I enjoyed black and gold and it was recently my boyfriends birthday and be couldn't stop talking about black and gold and their spicy garlic. I ordered myself hot and him spicy garlic. The order was placed over the phone, they said a specific amount of minutes until they could be picked up, but I showed up early and they were just coming out of the fryer. They stayed temperature and flavor hot for the duration of my drive and it was a W for me and his the birthday surprise so thanks black and gold for your efforts, but letting me take all the credit.

the bouncers let you get jumped in the parking lot when something doesn't go their way, had Matty the bouncer kick me after saying if I swung BK I'd be kicked out for life yes it's all on video but anyways I never swung BK and the guy who swung on me was allowed BK in with no consequences his name is Juan him and his wife waited for me at rutters across the street the night it happened can you say favoritism

I'm not a big drinker, but the BLACK AND GOLD, in Altoona, PA, is where I choose to go for wings and a break from everyday life. They always have great food, drinks, and entertainment. Play a game of pool or jump on the Dance floor when the live bands or disc jockeys in the house!! I love the BLACK AND GOLD!! ??? Parking: If the parking lot gets full, there's plenty of off-street parking, so the more the merrier ? ?

Yes, it does draw the locals. If by locals, you mean those who make trips to the bathroom and come out high and speeding. Make sure to wash your hands and watch your drink, here.
Very friendly group of people. Really good food as well (try their house balsamic dressing). Only downside is it's a smoking bar.

Wife and I were back visiting family over the holidays and decided to find a few places to shoot pool. We went in on what we thought would be a quiet Tuesday only to find the place 3/4 of the way full with very friendly and happy people. The wife was a little trepidatious because there were so many and we stuck out like a sore thumb but she was soon feeling extremely comfortable. There were four or five people playing on one table with the other one open. We started playing and more people came in, we volunteered to let anyone join and were told to enjoy ourselves. We ended up playing a little bit with the locals and they were awesome. The place seems very much like a private club in its makeup but once you're in there it seems like you're adopted into the family very quickly. Also, maybe most importantly, we had 4 or 5 rounds of beer- sorry it was a fun night and I don't really remember, for $15. Regardless, they almost had to take me out on a stretcher when I got the tab. LolWife and I agreed that we will definitely go back again when we're in town!
