Great food. Great people. Excellent Value Excellent Taste. Friday afternoons till Sunday evenings in the summer always has amazing aroma of BBQ down by the VFW Hall in Ambler. Thank You D&D!
We learned about this gem a few weeks ago and have driven out twice from South Philadelphia. My entire family loves everything on the menu. The guys working the pits are welcoming every time and the family who runs the restaurant inside are awesome. Reminds me of the old Ron’s Ribs on South Street.
I was born in Memphis and raised in Texas, so I’ve had a good amount of barbecue in my life (my wedding ceremony was held at the Salt Lick).
D+D is the real deal: Nicely smoked brisket, chicken, ribs and legit sides (tip: they run out of the Mac and cheese and collards first). Plus, that banana pudding is 💯.
If you’re a fan of the ‘cue, these guys are not to be missed. Go early in the day if you want the best selection.
