Peking House Chinese restaurant

GrubHub delivery. I had high hopes for this restaurant after reading reviews and was sorely disappointed. Bland, greasy food with no flavor whatsoever. General Tso's was full of mystery meat. Will not order here again.

Disappointing is a polite word that doesn't even begin to describe the food. From an egg roll filled only with cabbage to inedible over-fried, rock-hard fried wontons filled with tiny, shriveled-up pieces of chewy pork to sweet and sour sauce as thin and tasteless as water, this Chinese food has to be the worst I've ever had.

First time ordering. Roast pork w/veg and lo mein noodles. The pork cut was thick taste like it was going bad, too chewy.
Curry chicken in sauce too many very large onions. Didn't like the sauce.
Third place I tried since moving into area. Waste of money!!!!

Peking House, Mimi and her daughters/staff provide excellent food and service. The BEST Eggrolls in the county! Once you have Peking House food, you'll never go anywhere else. Thanks Mimi!

All around 5 stars ! Every time I come here I feel welcomed and taken care of !! Everyone is so nice and always helpful during ordering. Fast service and food is always 10/10 and freshly made beautifully!!!! Highly recommend

I used to order from this place quite frequently, but over time, I encountered several issues that made me stop. I really dislike how the lady who constantly answers the phone is pretty rude and hangs up on you if you ask questions they don’t want to answer. Additionally, whenever I try to order for delivery, they claim they don’t have a driver available. On one occasion, they told me I had to spend a minimum of $30 for delivery, which I find completely outrageous. I’ve been ordering from them for a while and have never had to meet such a high minimum for delivery before.

This is my response to whoever replied to my review :

When I called to place an order, you did not increase the rate for a holiday but raised it on a regular day and mentioned a $30 minimum for delivery. The person who spoke with my grandmother on the phone was very rude and even hung up on her. We are not 5 miles away from your location; we are actually only 1.4 miles away, right down the street. We will not tip drivers who are rude or for poor service, which is why we stopped ordering from you. I personally haven’t ordered from there recently.

I wasn't even thinking when I was waiting for my food that they had orange powder to make orangeade on the counter, I come home to eat my 'orange chicken' and the sauce is water mixed with the powder, dry chicken on rotting lettuce with some orange slices. The egg rolls were dough with only cabbage inside. I spent 70 dollars and then 10 dollars to give a tip, so 80 in total and I feel so stupid because I can't even eat what I got. Never again. Absolutely judge a book by its cover with this place.

Best Chinese restaurant in Ambler! I had their chicken with broccoli and their chicken wings which were perfectly seasoned and their service was exceptional. 10/10 would recommend.
