What a special find in Ambler! You would never guess what a wonderful menu and food sits in this simple looking spot. The menu is big and very unique. This is not your standard creperie. The people are friendly and the service exceptional. The food is delicious and unlike most French restaurants, the portions are big. I ordered the seafood crepe and my only criticism is that having all the seafood finely chopped it was overpowered by the spices. The bread and dessert-delicious!!!

Food was delicious service was wonderful. My seafood crape was not hot but the taste was still good.

We had their French Fry special with brie as a starter while we reviewed the menu. Delicious! Our dinner was the seafood crape and that all was delicious. Lovely presentation and the grilled shrimp on top was delicious. We could have had an order of just that. It was BYO so we were able to enjoy our favorite red along with our meal. The wait staff was very attentive and pleasant. The accordion player was a delightful addition. He was background music with fun songs. We went early and enjoyed a movie across the street. We will be back.

Not cheap but the food is perfectly prepared every time. Try the Bronzino prepared as a salt baked whole fish - very authentic

Planchette was lovely!! From the moment you walk in, there is an ambiance of elegance. French food is all about balance and can be tough to get right, but that was no problem here. Everything we had was fantastic and the flavors were truly elevated. It was a fabulous date night and we would highly recommend to others looking for a nice evening out.

The food at Planchette has always been outstanding. Saturday evening was extremely loud. We were a table of four and the table behind us was very loud, especially one woman. There was also a large party of 10 people. We will definitely return and hopefully the next time it won't be as loud.

server friendly and efficient, food was great - took a bit to long for meals to be served, but worth the wait!

I have enjoyed lunch and dinner here in the last couple of weeks. Both were during the week, and it was quiet. The food was delicious, and the service was impeccable. For lunch, the burger and frites were cooked to order, the Croque Monsieur looked amazing, and the special seafood crepe that I took home for dinner was delicious. Dinner food and service were amazing. There are so many specials! The lobster bisque was rich and creamy; the Moules in white wine sauce and frites were perfect and the Dover Sole, fileted with precision at tableside was a picture of fine dining. I understand it is quite busy on the weekends and early in their tenure we had a mediocre experience on a Saturday night with a large party. The renovated decor, seating, and table placements are huge improvements. A new favorite in Ambler! Thank you!

The food here is fabulous. And often they have an accordion player, who is not only talented, but also very friendly. The music makes me feel like I'm in a bistro in Paris,

La Planchette is an underrated gem. The menu brims with tempting daily specials—last night's lamb was outstanding. I started with their rich, deeply flavored French onion soup and ended with heavenly banana-Nutella crêpes, while my husband savored every bite of his bouillabaisse and my daughter polished off the Bistro Frites. Service is warm and attentive, the food never disappoints, and our only regret is forgetting to bring wine for this BYOB—again.

The owner always welcomes every guest. The service and food is fantastic. One of my favorite BYOB dining experiences.
