I've lost count of how many times I've had lunch/dinner at Planchette since they opened. Crepes? Delicious! Soup? superb! fresh fish? YUM! and desserts? definitely conclude your meal with ANY of the offerings. The owner is always "in house" and attention is paid to every request.

Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Everything we had was delicious from the bread to soup to the crepes and croques to dessert. Also very reasonable prices!

Wonderful meal - fantastic service. A true Gem in Ambler. The accordion player adds to the ambiance- he plays beautiful music.

Food was very good but took a little long for the entrees to come out after the appetizer. Noise level was pretty good except for one obnoxious customer.

We were very impressed with this little gem of a restaurant in ambler. The service was excellent, the food was very good and the menu was even more extensive than the one that appears online because of the specials. We will certainly come back to this restaurant.

You feel welcomed from the moment you walk in for lunch and most nights for dinner. The weekends are quite noisy and crowded BUT the food is ALWAYS superb!!

Good Food. Awful service on a busy Saturday night. They overbooked, and did not have enough tables available. We (party of 2 with 6:30 reservations) were offered a table right by the front door Infront of the coat rack. Since this tiny space was cold, drafty and crowded with people waiting, I refused. I was told that in that case, they were not able to accommodate us at all. When I pointed to the empty table for 4, they told me it they could not do it. After some back and forth, we waited at the table for 4 until the next 2 person table became available. The tables were so close together that we heard the conversations of couples on both sides. We were literally elbow to elbow with other guests. It was so uncomfortably crowded and noisy that we decided to skip appetizers and dessert just so we could get out of there as soon as possible.

Planchette consistently offers a very good dining experience. The French bistro menu is perfect for a cold weather meal and the cozy atmosphere enhances the experience. Our party enjoyed the moule frites as an appetizer, followed by Caesar and beet salads. For entrees we had the duck crepes, a whole salt-crusted branzino and mahi-mahi. We managed to save just enough space to share 2 tasty desserts- carrot cake and a chocolate soufflé. We will definitely be back.

We were there for New Year’s Eve. It was packed but the food and service could not have been better. This is a favorite place of ours and on such a busy evening they did not disappoint. It was wonderful!

The food was fantastic. It is a small establishment so it is very loud. They had live music, a gentleman was playing the accordian and it was lovely. We went out for date night on Saturday night, so service was a little slow due to the number of tables. The music plus decor plus loud and crowded made it feel just like Paris. We will be back! Rack of lamb was screaming!

A special night out with friends. The grilled calimari was delicious and my Le Mer was wonderful. The chocolate cake was not too heavy and not too light. Our waiter was very attentive and the accordion music was lovely

Very nice creperie in Ambler. Attentive service. I had a chicken sandwich with spinach and a bechamel sauce that was pretty good. My companions got crepes that looked pretty good. My uncle, who is a French Onion soup connoisseur, thought their spin on it was good.
