New location on rittenhouse. After years, if nothing but positive reviews for this place, I can no longer do that. The quality food is not what it used to be. They now off of frozen margaritas but that doesn't make up for the bad service and adequate food.Add to that the increase in prices. I think this became a franchise store. He was so much better before you made the changes. To top off the adequate meal they charge a separate price for cash and a penalty for using a credit card. So I paid for cash. I didn't have exact change so I needed $2 taken out of a $20 bill to round it off including the tip. The waitress took the $20 tip on top of the r $25 meal. It was not until I chased her down that she acted surprise that I expected change.

2024-Feb - the location has moved. Not far. Just be aware the name should not be “El Limon Ardmore”, it should be “El Limon - Rittenhouse “Still awesome. One of the most authentic spots in the Philly Suburb area. Their no-nonsense, no flash approach to Mexican food keeps us coming back time and time again. They have expanded beyond their original Conshy location to Ardmore, Bryn Mawr, Berwyn and beyond.Top notch, home style Mex.Fantastic Mole sauce on their wet burritos. ?

I ordered a fajita online, picked it up and when I got home there were no tortillas in the bag. What is a fajita without a tortilla? When I called the restaurant they said I could come back to retrieve them. It would have been closer to go to a grocery store. I will not be back.

Good portion sizes and tasty food. Also one of the few places to fine real tamales. Tacos, burritos and tamales stuffed with lots of meat, etc- not all lettuce like another local Mexican place was.

Delicious burritos. My complements to the chef. Thank you for great food! Unique, but very well done. A cut above the rest. They should win an award for Best of the Main Line.

Ive ordered tacos from here before and theyve always been sortof mediocre but I got a burrito this time and it was disgusting. The rice was cooked about halfway, the chicken was cooked to death, refried beans tasted and smelled rancid, and the cheese was in a nasty, unmelted clump. Super gross. Never eating here again.

Was great while it was here - but we just stopped by and it's being turned into a Subway. Looks like they lost the lease ☹️

This is my go to spot for mexican food. I always do takeout, so I can't say much about the dine in experience, but this place overall is my favorite! I always get their al pastor, chorizo, and beef tacos. I love them all equally. My friend usually gets their burritos and they are amazing! The chorizo burrito and chicken burrito are my favorite. Don't forget to order tres leche! It's amazing. I always order three to leave in the fridge for later.
