“Good food but don’t order door dash/delivery it’s usually soggy. The last order I got was so waterlogged from condensation the fries were completely ruined and the chicken was barely edible.

“Always pleasant experience when going here. Food is always good, love coming for the Friday deviled crab and Mac and cheese special. But no matter what day there is always something great on the menu. Ruth is so sweet and makes her rounds talking to everyone and checking on them. That is honestly amazing, and she’s a fantastic owner and person. The service is great too with all the ladies.“

“I haven't been there much, but the last time we went, the live music artist was fantastic. Very talented. It was a Friday night around 10:30, not overly packed, but a typical fun crowd. Service is always excellent
Very attentive staff every time I've been there. Friendly people. I have been there when it was a little more rowdy, but still fun and great music. Good prices, and not much food, but not bad for what they have. I don't know if the kitchen is open all the time, but they do advertise specials on FB. Dancing on most Saturdays is not really my thing, but a good time the one Saturday I did go. Friday is live music or I've seen Kareoke advertised there also. I haven't been yet, but I plan to eventually. I'll update then.“

“The live band was great. All the food was fresh and hot. The only disappointment was they had no bleenies, potato cakes. We were told they couldn't get anyone to do them. I know it's labor intensive. I grew up helping my elder Polish aunts to prepare for St. Joseph's block party in Shamokin. I can only hope our community will pull together to make them next year. I'd be happy to lend a hand.“

“I Highly recommend fromThe Alibi Hotel & Nightclub with their deep-fried cheeseburger and believe me, the cheeseburgers actually deep-fried it in the fryer as I never knew you could deep fry a cheeseburger before but now I know and it is so mouthwatering delicious along with the side of the fried pickles with ranch dressing, dipping sauce, and nothing like it ice cold beer to drink to a bottle of ice cold water when this was my first time here and I’ll definitely come back again with such great owners, great bartenders, cooks, and staffs. Who are also very friendly and knowledgeable because it displays is Great for watching sporting events on there big screen TVs and only $28 for two people you can’t beat them PA coal region prices so thank you for making my Sunday a very memorable one“

I was wide eyed with wonder as Joe recounted the same stories of our family history as coal miners, county constable, barge pilots and railroad men. My wife was amazed when Joe told the story of Wiggins Patch Massacre. We know who said, "Don't shoot the women or children."“
