“This Chinese food was bomb! The sauce on my chicken and broccoli with garlic sauce was amazing. I had the perfect amount of spice to give it the little kick without being overly spicy. The shrimp fried rice was very small, but very good. I had a decent amount of shrimp in it and had very good flavor. The rice was not greasy. I took off a star because I got the combination platter and it was supposed to come with an eggroll, but it was not in the bag. Even though the worker behind the counter told me he put duck sauce in the bag for it.

“We have been coming here for almost 10 years. The quality has been consistent and quantity is good. I’ve seen many places jacked up the prices after COVID, but this place has stay very reasonable prices.
Recently this restaurant renovated and added many more options on menu. It’s definitely a happy surprise. My new go to is the deluxe pho, and tofu pudding. The weekend special rice roll is also very good too! Will recommend others to try this place too.“

“I love visiting Spring House spirits. It's one of my and my dad's favorite distilleries. One of the owners, Christopher Demars, is a gem. He is extremely generous and has a warm presence. Plus every bartender that I've had the pleasure of meeting there has been super friendly and makes a mean cocktail. Speaking of, I've always been impressed by their surprisingly expansive cocktail list! I've never ordered a bad drink there. Can NOT wait to visit again soon!“

“A wonderful place with a healthy variety of food so there's something for everyone. They're very accommodating with the options— not everything is vegan, but it feels like at least half of the menu is, and if it isn't then it can be made vegan. Menu items are conveniently and clearly labeled so you know what is vegan, gluten-free, or has nuts, among other things, and I can't stress enough how much I really wish every place did this. The seitan wings and loaded totchos are some of my favorites on the appetizer end- the "wings" in particular feel nice and juicy and have a great texture that I've been trying and failing to replicate at home. They have a really killer plant burger too known as the California Gardenator, which for me is always a big +10 points especially seeing how many places' "plant options" will just be an Impossible Patty; they also have delicious and flavorful tacos made with soy curls. The location unfortunately has the same "issue" as the other Main Street locations in Newark, which is that's there not a great way to quickly park and go even if you just want to pick something up (and all the parking spots on Main Street are metered because of course they need to capitalize off of the UD kids) but the actual building is a gorgeous establishment with great indoor/outdoor seating and friendly staff. Some may disagere but I found the prices pretty reasonable for the quality and it feels like the portions are plentiful— I've underestimated how much food they give you a few times.“

It’s BYOB, but they offer a solid selection of espresso drinks, soft drinks, and teas to round things out.

We started with the mozzarella sticks, which were crisp on the outside with a nice, stretchy pull—simple but well executed. The chicken parm was a standout: tender cutlet, well-seasoned sauce, and just the right amount of cheese. The penne vodka was comforting and rich without feeling overly heavy, and the bread they serve is the kind you keep reaching for without thinking. “This is the central campus location for UDairy Creamery, and I LOVE that I can also get food here. My favorite is the breakfast toast with hummus, sun-dried tomatoes, basil and olive oil. It's seriously AMAZING! I'm not sure what kind of bread they are using, but it's phenominal.

There is a lot of space to eat or study, and, of course, it's attached to Barnes and Noble, so that's a major plus.“

“We just had our welcome party for my daughter’s wedding weekend. Meghan, Jordan and Ashley were very easy to reach. They responded quickly and were extremely helpful as well as accommodating. The evening of the event went without any issues.The only change is I would have brought some zip locks for the kids to be able to take the extra cookies and brownies home as a sweet treat that was delicious. That is on me, not them. Wonderful place to have an event that you do not have to worry about anything on that night. They were extremely attentive and flexible the entire evening. “I was looking for Chinese food around campus and this was the best decision. The food was perfectly saucy and flavorful and they served it on a plate AND the lady gave us cups of water!! I’ve never had that at a Chinese food place and it was above and beyond. It tasted delicious and the workers were all friendly. “It’s 90% of the time one of the best places around. Every so often someone gets hired that doesn’t hold to the owner’s standards and you’ll get a bad experience. I’d say go in on a Friday and let the manager know. He cares and would like to know.

“I normally like the vibe, but on a Friday night, you need some kind of entertainment before 9:30 pm. The place emptied last Friday and there was nothing until we were about to leave. We were leaving because it was dead. The DJ, who has filled that place before til close and had the dance floor full, did not start until 9:30. By then, the energy was zapped and not many were even paying attention. We left very disappointed. It’s understandable some nights business is going to be slow. In this case, the place was packed when we arrived at 8 pm. We expected that. We did not expect the place to clear out and the energy to drop before any entertainment had a chance to get there. Entertainment on a Friday and Saturday night starts earlier in other establishments. Most have at least a DJ by 8. You’re missing opportunities by starting something at 9:30. We felt bad for the DJ. We won’t be back unless the schedule for some kind of entertainment starts earlier. You’ve got an older crowd in there quite often. People are not going to stay until 9 or 9:30 waiting for music.“
