Food was great started with calamari & muscles, calamari was fried to perfection they were a little bland but the marinara sauce made up for it. Mussels were plump and flavorful. Husband got the lasagna and said it was delicious. I got the seafood pasta in a white wine sauce and it was pretty decent. We left stuffed. The owners were very warm and intimate. Service was prompt.
Nice ambience, food was great, especially the chicken saltimbocca where the prosciutto and sauce gave a nice saltiness and richness.
Stopped by here yesterday on my birthday for takeout . I ordered penne vodka and my husband got the gnocchi G. in a white sauce, it was pretty good. I’d say the Gnocci was a bit soft ( maybe because it’s house made). I would order from here again since it’s clearly house made which I appreciate. I thought the staff was rather nice too. The place looked clean and put together and maybe slightly dated but definitely give us an Italian feel. The only con is there aren’t enough windows on the inside, but on the contrary, there’s not much to look at outside.
Best Italian restaurant in PA by far!!!
Really solid local neighborhood family ran italian joint, felt like my own nonna and nonno were running the place
Took my partner on a date here, Luigi and Judy made sure to come over and say hello as we were sat down. The atmosphere was not too loud and the food was excellent; we ordered the burrata salad, grilled calamari, Rigatoni Boscaiola, and the salmon piccata. My partner loved all her food and I took home a little extra pasta for lunch the next day. 10/10 would eat here again!
The good is unbelievable and the service from the owners themselves (originally from Rome) made it for such a pleasant night !
Core de Roma has been our favorite Italian restaurant in the Philadelphia area since we discovered their original location in West Chester 8 years ago. We were sad when they had to close their West Chester location! Now that they're in Belmont Hills they're a little harder to get to but SO worth the trip. Gigi and Judy run a fantastic restaurant that feels like a family visit to Rome every time we go! The value and the authenticity can't be beat. Gigi's recipes are authentic Roman Italian recipes the way Italian food was meant to be enjoyed. Judy makes most of the desserts herself and they're absolutely worth saving room for! HIGHLY recommended. Try the suppli, the penne vodka, the core de Roma salad and don't skip on Judy's cannolis! Go and discover this hidden gem!
great neighborhood gem. when mentioning others on main line this imo is as good as any and more authentic.
Good local place with good quality food. My only suggestion is look for a better source of bread. My wife's entree was very good .

Great little family run neighborhood BYOB with reliably great Italian fare We are frequent customers due to quality and friendliness
Four of us dined on Friday . Three of the four meals , namely chicken Marsala, mussels marinara & chicken core de Roma in a blush sauce were excellent. The chicken Milanese was good but was basically a crusty chicken breast with arugula that was & tender but with a small portion of sauce, we needed to ask for more sauce ..... the actual meal did not match the description on the menu so it was slightly disappointing Appetizers of fried calamari & burrata with fig were excellent as was the tartufo that we had for dessert . Wait staff were friendly & attentive. I especially like the bread which seems home made & the dipping sauce with the cannoli beans but we had to ask for this & was not automatically placed on the table.
