The good is unbelievable and the service from the owners themselves (originally from Rome) made it for such a pleasant night !

Core de Roma has been our favorite Italian restaurant in the Philadelphia area since we discovered their original location in West Chester 8 years ago. We were sad when they had to close their West Chester location! Now that they're in Belmont Hills they're a little harder to get to but SO worth the trip. Gigi and Judy run a fantastic restaurant that feels like a family visit to Rome every time we go! The value and the authenticity can't be beat. Gigi's recipes are authentic Roman Italian recipes the way Italian food was meant to be enjoyed. Judy makes most of the desserts herself and they're absolutely worth saving room for! HIGHLY recommended. Try the suppli, the penne vodka, the core de Roma salad and don't skip on Judy's cannolis! Go and discover this hidden gem!

great neighborhood gem. when mentioning others on main line this imo is as good as any and more authentic.

Good local place with good quality food. My only suggestion is look for a better source of bread. My wife's entree was very good .

Four of us dined on Friday . Three of the four meals , namely chicken Marsala, mussels marinara & chicken core de Roma in a blush sauce were excellent. The chicken Milanese was good but was basically a crusty chicken breast with arugula that was & tender but with a small portion of sauce, we needed to ask for more sauce ..... the actual meal did not match the description on the menu so it was slightly disappointing Appetizers of fried calamari & burrata with fig were excellent as was the tartufo that we had for dessert . Wait staff were friendly & attentive. I especially like the bread which seems home made & the dipping sauce with the cannoli beans but we had to ask for this & was not automatically placed on the table.

Food was great as was service. Kept refilling bread which was warm and tasty and were very attentive throughout. Have been going there for years and will keep doing it.

Definitely lived up to its reputation. We showed up without reservations and they accommodated us. The food was delicious! The veal Saltimbocca was cooked in the authentic fashion and delicious. The shrimp special with cavitelli and spinach was extraordinary. Our server Simon was attentive and fantastic. We will definitely be back.

A great and consistent neighborhood gem. The food is made to order and we've had lots of great meals here. We went with the spaghetti and meatballs and bolognese this time, both classic and fantastic. A nice home made cannoli for dessert and I always appreciate a great cup of coffee. Attentive, personalized service. We'll be back, soon.

I visited Core de Roma with my sister yesterday for a nice italian dinner. It wasn't our first choice but was close and had reservations available.

The restaurant is at the top of a hill and there is a parking lot but you will have to walk up the hill, which is fine it can be steep though.

Immediately upon entering there was a couple ahead of us which was greeted by the hostess, an older blonde woman. As we waited for her to finish speaking with them another group of people came in behind us - about 7 people or so. The problem lies in the fact that the hostess finished speaking with the couple ahead of us (naturally) but then completely ignored us and started speaking to the party of 7, as if we were not standing right there. We were the only 2 black patrons in the building, which again is fine, but the fact that she ignored us and spoke to them first rubbed us both the wrong way.

We decided to not make a big deal of it and just have our dinner. Bruschetta was good, but the bread they serve it on is they same bread they give you for free. My entree, chicken marsala was okay. I got it with the "vegetable and potatoes" which was just string beans, cut in half and potatoes cut in half.

They also charge a fee if you use your credit/debit card. Which is weird. I know there are places that provide a "cash discount" however charging me to use my debit card seems frivolous.
I won't return.

Vegetarian options: None that I saw

Wheelchair accessibility: There is no wheelchair accessibility, unless you're able to get onto the stoop at the entrance door
