“Shout out to Empire's Coffee for their amazing customer service, and somehow equally amazing egg custards 😍 we placed an order with them one day before needing an order for pickup, and when we arrived they were fresh just coming out of the oven! They smelled so good we inhaled a couple as soon as we got to the car and they were perfect with the warm custard and the flaky crust 😭😋 Above and beyond customer service, and delicious pastries - thank you so much!!“

The building itself is full of character inside and out, the coffee is amazing, and the bagel sandwiches are fresh and delicious! “Love this spot! Such a warm and homey feel inside while still having a splash of classy! The employees are consistently friendly and always excited to greet you with a warm hello! A hidden gem in Belvidere you don’t want to miss! My go to is the iced chai latte but today was their special tiramisu latte. Perfection. I’m not a huge coffee fan but when I indulge I’m a sweet coffee drinker. This was sweet enough for me while still getting the coffee flavor coming through. The dollop of cream on top adds for an extra dash of sweetness. On top of all that, it was served at the absolute perfect temperature ready to immediately drink.“

Service was lacking at first, we stood in front of the pastry coolers watching 4 employees in the back completely ignoring a full store of people wandering around with our mouths watering, finally an older gentleman came out and assisted us, he was very pleasant and took his time to ensure we got want we wanted.

The frosted raisins apple pie is a must try, wow it’s delicious 😋.
The donuts and fruit turnovers are equally delicious.
We will be back again soon to try everything else.“
