We just happened to stumble upon Slate Belt Brewing Company after dropping our daughter off at the Wind Gap Carnival, and wow, did we hit the jackpot!

Based on the reviews, Slate Belt Brewing Company is a beautiful old building with an amazing staff, even better drinks, and food. It has a very chill atmosphere with laid back music from a live band, and a great stage for music in a spot that allows all to enjoy it. The interior is beautiful and cozy. The food is outstanding, with menu highlights including the best chicken wings in ages, homemade pierogies, Grandma's pierogies, a reuben sandwich special, fish and chips which was fresh, crispy and delicious, and a salmon entrée. The pretzels and beer infused cheese dip were amazing, and the cannoli dip and chocolate ganache were tasty. Drinks like the Slate belt porter, a brewery lager, an espresso cherry cordial martini, a smoked old fashion, and a spicy margarita were all on point. The service is outstanding, with staff that give their all to make the small business work. One reviewer noted that on a busy Saturday night the poor staff was short but did an amazing job. The staff showed genuine concern when a guest had an allergic reaction, providing Benadryl quickly. A great place to meet friends, have a bite, good drinks, and feel at home.
