Guests often enjoy steaks, including the dry aged NY strip, which are very tender and flavorful, comparable to prime beef. The filet mignon, served at 6 oz, is cooked to perfection and very tender, often described as the best steak ever. Sides such as carrots and mashed potatoes are generous enough for two people. Recent visitors praised the delicious meal of a 12 oz NY Sirloin, cooked to Medium Plus, and a Lobster Tail in beurre blanc sauce that was outstanding. The wine list received compliments, and everything at 1796 was greatly appreciated.
