My pork chop was sent back and still came back raw on the inside. All you get is I'm sorry. Sucks
My parents had a lovely time ! You guys made it such a special night for their anniversary. Thank you!
Jordan Easter was a phenomenal server. That young man goes above and beyond service was excellent
We had a fabulous meal for our anniversary. Our steaks were done perfectly and the recommendations by our waitress were spot on.
1796 was a great dining experience. The food was very good. We opted for the 12 ounce filet mignon, mushrooms, fried onions for the top of the steak a chopped salad and the shrimp cocktail. Everything was wonderful. The mushrooms were good although we prefer the portobello mushrooms instead, but everything was delicious and I would definitely go back. Our waiter was outstanding!!!
We were staying at the Omni Bedford and booked dinner at the 1796 Room based on reviews. We had an amazing experience. The rustic American Steakhouse vibe was so charming. We loved that while the restaurant was more than half full, it was not noisy. High noise levels can ruin a meal. The waitstaff was attentive, professional and so friendly. The cocktails, sides and steaks were prepared perfectly to our order. This is a pricey restaurant but well worth it. We do plan on going back.
Delightful meal experience where I enjoyed a 12 oz NY Sirloin, perfectly cooked at Medium Plus, and a Lobster Tail in a beurre blanc sauce that was outstanding! Their wine list was very nice and I was greatly impressed by everything at 1796!
We enjoyed a very delicious meal. The ambience of the old historic Inn was very nice. Michel, the server, was attentive and helpful. Compliments to the chef for excellent salmon and incredible desserts.
We had an amazing meal and experience at 1796! We were celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary and were between this spot and one of the other larger/more upscale restaurants on the property. Needless to say we were more than pleased with our final choice. Food was incredible, atmosphere was very intimate and cozy, and our server Trent was great. The steaks and lobster mac and cheese were the best we've ever had! Would definitely recommend for a great celebration or evening out!
Food was very expensive and subpar. Wilted spinach was a sad looking and bitter. Jumbo shrimp were tiny and very fine. Steak was fine, but nothing to write home about for $70.

Best steaks we have had in quite awhile. Server Hannah did a great job, as well as the gentleman that helped with wine choices. Love the family style sides!
Very nice atmosphere, excellent service, great food. Lobster tails and crab cakes were delicious.
Your food is impeccable. Your service is always top notch and the ambiance is just my speed. Thank you for your consistency for the past 15 years.
The foods was good, nothing spectacular. The waiter was nice but he did not fill my glass of water up once and I had to ask him for bread when we saw everyone else around us have some. For the amount of money we spent here I would expect a little extra customer service.
Three words to describe this restaurant. Expensive, boring, limited. We were told this steak house offered the best steaks, wrong, they were tough, contained gristel and lacked the flavor of a wonderful steak. At a price of over $50 for 8 ounces. The wine selection is very limited for a high end restaurant and did I mention expensive. Everything is ala carte, so the chef does not have to be creative. The sides offered are limited and bland. This restaurant needs energy, creativity and a price reduction.
