Only food option at Parx before 12 noon. Was looking for something light and not too much meat. Decided on the beef barley soup. Came with some saltine crackers. $5.25 for a large cup of goodness. Very tasty and filling. Good enough to tide me over till lunch. I ordered it again the very day since I missed the breakfast cutoff time at Fox Chase.
Nice snack bar but the gentleman behind the counter seemed rude... you'd think someone dressed like a manager would have more customer service, even his "good luck" remark sounded sarcastic when he gave us our drinks. The pizza was different, not bad but also not good? It was great because I was starcing and needed a snack but the crust was like soft prezel dough that was cooked too long or something. Located in the food court of Parx Casino, Foodie's, serves breakfast, lunch, soup, and sandwiches. If you play in the Poker Room you can get food service from servers that are called,"food runners", however you cannot do so until 12pm.
