What an amazing, historic and beautiful place, my husband and I have been there twice on our wedding anniversary, and enjoyed it very much.
One thing that people need to consider when staying however, is that when there are weddings at the hotel (which of course is a beautiful venue,) the whole lobby/restaurant/lounge area is extremely loud with the revelry and the music of the bands or DJs upstairs .
I mean, unbelievably loud - so that it’s hard to sit in the lounge and...
Excellent menu .. delicious food. By contrast, Our waiter was impatient and inattentive.. no refills of water, we had to ask for our bread 3 times. Like we were a complete inconvenience. The food however was superb as was the overall setting.
Ambiance is lovely. Of 3 of us, one had a perfect dish of pasta, one had very good not great crab cakes, and one had steak that was so tough it was un chewable. We have dined here before, always at least a good if not great experience.
