Casa Del Mofongo is a Dominican restaurant that specializes in Latin cuisine. This restaurant can be found on Main St. in Bethlehem.For those of you who don't know, Mofongo is made with fried green plantains mashed together with chicharrones (crispy pork skin) and fresh garlic.I ordered Chicken Empanadas and Roasted Pork Mofongo. The Empanadas were some of the best I've ever had, and even though I'm not a huge fan of plantains, the Mofongo was enjoyable. It was good, I was expecting more honestly, I asked for the chicken Mofongo w the special house sauce but they didn't gave me the sauce instead they gave me this garlic butter which I didn't mind but if I asked for something in specific they should've asked if I still want it and on the menu says "garlic cream something " but it was just butter w garlic, me and my bf ordered empanadas which were good. The mofongos had good taste though ??Also our sever was kinda rude. Overall it was alright.

Food was bad with not flavor at all. The only good thing was the morir soñando juice. The Mofongo and churrasco was horrible. It feels it was just missing that Latin seasoning with love… It was my first time and last one….

I previously went to this restaurant a week ago, alone around lunch. I asked for water with my meal and got it in a nice Lil glass w/ice. Today on February 1st I took my 3 children thier to eat and when we were asked about drinks, I instantly said water for all. After sitting for about 5min the waitress came to me with 4 bottles of water that I didn't ask for, I was specif about just having water w/lemons being I'm out w/ 3 of my children and I didn't want to over spend my budget for us to eat outside dinner. The waitress told me w/an attitude they only have bottle water an (she don't know anything about anything else) I told her I was there last week and asked for water an it was giving. So here I am w/my family looking to have dinner and the manager comes to repeat to us that it's only bottle water. I repeated to her that I was thier last week and asked for water and it was giving... I didn't understand why but I do understand why! It's all about them pulling every dollar they can out your pocket to eat thier food which is ridiculous, especially when you have 3 children with you. ALSO NO KIDS MENU! NOT KID FRIENDLY AND WE WONT BE SPENDING OUR MONEY THIER ANY MORE AFTER BEING TREATED WRONG OVER WATER! ????Kid-friendliness: Not Kid Friendly. I DONT RECOMMEND CHILDREN.

The food was excellent, but the service and atmosphere was terrible. We were first timers, so we needed explanation of Mofongo dish the waitress was not even close in her description. My Wife ordered reg Chicken and rice from the glass covered hot table and the waitress tookThe liberty to upgrade the order to a chicken dinner entree from the back. The place was cold so we decided to move away from the door. In doing so we were rudely asked to return to a 2 seat table. The place was only less than 1/4 full. Food was very good but the service and attitude of the staff was terrible. Will not return. Total upsell restaurant

Not the service ones. They let us eat in peace, they took the plate from us before finishing it, apparently their attention was more to get away from us and collect their tip. It was unpleasant.
