Great historic building and great property in general. The outdoor seating area was wonderful. I think they have an opportunity to do more with their menu both food and beverage. The food we ordered was good but I think they would be better served if they upgraded the options.

Really amazed with everything the Tavern at the Sun Inn had to offer. So much history, great food, and wonderful service. We loved the fact that you can tour some of the museum room while you’re there. They are a distillery as well, making some spirits directly from Martha Washington’s personal recipes. We are definitely making this one of our favorite places in the Valley to frequent.

The historic sun inn is half museum and half restaurant. It was a slow, stormy, Wednesday night and we were seated quickly. The lightning flashes could been seen through the colonial era glass in the windows as Patrick, our waiter, answered some questions about the menu. After taking our order my son asked if George Washington had slept here. Indeed he had. Fours times before becoming president and in the same room we were seated in.
