“Great local restaurant I took my family to. The atmosphere is down to earth and super friendly. My kids loved the items on the kid’s side of the menu while my wife enjoyed the salmon salad which she says, “100% NOT FISHY!” I had a wonderful bacon cheeseburger. As you can see, the food presentations look wonderful. This was a lunch portion which was more than enough for each of us!“
“We came to Big Phil’s a few weeks ago last minute in a big group. They were SO nice and accommodating! Got a few tables set up for us in no time and were happy to do it. Food was delicious and drinks were cold. Will definitely be coming back!“
“This was my husband & I’s first time and we absolutely LOVED IT! Our server, Howard, was absolutely awesome—he was very helpful, fun, and made our experience joyful. The food and drinks were DELICIOUS—one of the best burgers I’ve ever had for sure!! We will definitely be back to see Howard, and to get some more burgers. HIGHLY RECOMMEND:)“
“A couple friends and I stopped at Forrest Inn to pregame prior to an event. Seems like your typical dive bar when walking in. But Harry was a one man show; serving up drinks, cooking, running food, and amazing customer service. The food has cheap prices with great flavor. I went back for a second basket of the fresh cut fries. Definitely worth stopping in and checking it out. Daily drink specials too“
“This place is a hidden treasure! I'm from Berks County but I was invited to join a large party's table from Lancaster County. Hey Berks County... if you haven't tried this place... TRY IT!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️#bertiesinn#raven2024Parking: Be respectful to the neighbors when the lot is full and street parking.“
“I absolutely love this place!! I recommend it to anyone and everyone. The owner is awesome. He always makes it a point to say hello or interact with the guests. They have a cute outdoor area along the creek. They play reggae music is so relaxing and fun. It honestly feels like you're on vacation and nowhere near boyertown. They have large grills to cook your own food and servers to help you cook as well. It's a cute little bar area. I wish they stayed open later, but I get why they don't. Prices are quite expensive considering you have to cook your own food BUT you get a lot- meat, salad, potato, bread and a drink AND the experience which is unique for this area.“
“I didn't eat or drink here, because I went to do karaoke. I had a great time and I love the atmosphere of the place. I especially love the hosts of the karaoke Kathy Kane and Brisbin Skiles.Kid-friendliness: There was a young baby and other young children eating with their families“
“The trees here were good and the prices the best around. Small trees were $40-$60. The guys working there were friendly and serviced us well. They wrapped it up and helped tie it onto the car. They did it it well enough that it didn’t fall off on the drive home lol. I’d recommend for anyone looking for an affordable tree. The other 3 places we visited were averaging 90-125 a tree!!“
“We stopped in before the Tom Segarra show last night. It was very busy but both the staff we interacted with were amazing and attentive and doing their best to get to everyone as quickly as humanly possible. As a bartender I notice those things so we waited a few minutes for a drink but not because they were not hustling and noticing who had been waiting a bit longer. The female bartender was lovely I didn't get her name but I complimented her hair and her curls and she took a moment to tell me how to do it myself..... She also got us our tab quickly so we could get to our show on time. Little things like that mean a lot thus the 5 stars across the board!! We will definitely be back soon for the wings????“
“Let’s talk.*hands clapping together while talkingI came in to some old school hip hop on the speakers…. So you had my attention.I tried the chipsteak, the fiesta dog, and MULTIPLE cheeseburgers.I also had my usual Jack and diet.First of all….yes I clapped with every syllable again..Under $10. That’s fantastic.Nothing in the food menu was over five bucks sans the “special”I wasn’t impressed with the fiesta dog and chipsteak. It was ok. But then…:then came the cheeseburger….it wasn’t your $10 cheeseburger. Who wants that a bar? You want easy food. This burger had the classic American taste and feel of yore. Like a McDonald’s burger when it’s fresh and perfect (yes that’s a real thing).Under $4…perfect bun, great cheese, good burger. The chef and bartender had their crew which was nice to see. Total local vibe.Beyond happy I chose to come here.GET THE CHEESEBURGER!!“
“Being from Central Jersey, I've gotten accustomed to the hustle and bustle of daily life. But when I head into the woods or the hills the piney in me comes out. I love small town America and down to earth people. Welcome to Shades of Green. We were out in the hills of Pennsylvania and the family was hungry. We're sick of the standard chain restaurants and just wanted a local place to get lunch. We just stumbled upon this little gem.Ok, so the parking is a little sketchy. But then again, this place is a local joint so I'm sure the locals are accustomed to it. Once you get inside it's like walking back in time. The clock literally slows down. This is the way America used to be, the way it was meant to be.The food took a little longer then we expected, but we soon found out why. It appeared to be all freshly made. That's right, no frozen Bubba Burgers here. Real burgers on real buns. And no skimping on the fries here, we got a full old school serving. My son opted for pickle fries which were odd but actually pretty good! I got an S.O.G burger, which was fantastic. My only gripe was that it didn't come with lettuce and tomato, though, in hindsight, if I asked I'm sure it wouldnt have been a problem. The service was personal and friendly. We were made to feel right at home. And it was considerably less expensive then the mediocre fare found in Central NJ.If you're even remotely close by here you need to stop in. Old school service with homemade quality leading to an amazing experience. Put the hustle and bustle behind you, find that inner piney, and get yourself a taste of what America was always meant to be. Get yourself a taste of Shades of Green.“
