Use this review as a small grain of salt on your margarita glass. Being from Arizona, I would say I am hard criticism towards Mexican restaurants in Pennsylvania. Mainly cause it’s hard to find the proper ingredients in Pennsylvania. I personally do like La Familia. We will we will return. LA Familia Mexican Restaurant & Bar is an authentic Mexican spot with excellent and delicious food. The vibe inside is nice, featuring a huge bar. The staff is wonderful, friendly, helpful, and polite. The owner is great, constantly interacting with customers. The menu offers fantastic and amazing options, including unique breakfasts. Specific standout dishes are the birria quesadilla, chicken enchiladas, Crispy Chicken Rolled Tortillas, Pastor Street Tacos, Birria Street Tacos, Chicken Tostadas, La Familia fajitas, and Cecina Beef Quesadillas. All the meat is tender and juicy, with flavors that play well together. They offer house-made chips with black bean purée and cotija cheese, as well as chips and guacamole. The celebration for birthdays is great. While there were some minor service delays on opening day, the kitchen has worked out the kinks. It is a highly recommended place in Birdsboro where customers will definitely return.
