The Barn Restaurant at Allenberry

Took a long time before anyone approached our table to serve us. Order was submitted to the kitchen wrong therefore we received the wrong order. 8 oz steak was the size of a 4 oz steak. Scallops not fresh, frozen bag is my guess,. Took over an hour to get our incorrect order once we ordered. Would not go back!

We were sat at a table for two very close to other diners along a wall. Less than a foot between tables. It just didn't feel very private for our date night, when we could acutely hear every word of conversation at the tables on both sides of us. The dinner was delicious, as always, at Allenberry. Food is well prepared, plated and full of a variety of flavors. We got dessert to go, the stick buns. They were served cold so it made them very dry. We've had a very nice experience before here, and will return again despite this experience.

The food was very nice, but over priced for what you received. The atmosphere was pleasant, but depending on where you are seated may be a bit noisy for pleasant conversation. The biggest problem for me, was the speed of service. After we finished eating and the dishes collected, it took over a half hour to receive our bill and complete payment. If you are going to the theater after dinner, plan ample time.

The food was very good, but there were only 4 entrees on the menu and 2 of the entrees contained almonds. It's odd that if you only offer 4 entrees you would have a nut in 2 of them which is difficult for people who have a tree nut allergy, and the server said they couldn't modify the meal to leave out the almonds for my meal. The server never came back after serving our meals to find out if we wanted refills of our drinks.

Excellent venue. Very beautiful property and atmosphere. The service was warm and friendly. The food was very good but not remarkable. I'd go whenever I was in town. Worth the drive from Carlisle!

Food was great. Waitress tried her best but was overwhelmed. Half of our party got food and finished it before the rest of us were served. Took an hour and a quarter to get food. But it's a nice place overall and outdoors is beautiful

Thanksgiving buffet was horrible!!! NO TURKEY, NO MASHED POTATOES!!! Absolutely pitiful, we want a refund!!! For $80 each you’d expect a meal and better service and not to have to wait in lines forever, and for what?!?!? DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

We visited for one night and stayed in the Pine Lodge. The whole property is beautiful! My favorite was the check-in lobby! So beautifully decorated and so inviting! Our morning walk was just perfect for the fall.

Love this place. One of my favorites.

Live music from brahmen noodles and a burger w/fries that was absolutely delicious made for a chill atmosphere. It was probably busier than it seemed and the food took a little while but it was worth the wait.

Another delicious meal at Allenberry! My husband and I ordered the pasta special. It was delicious! Our cocktails- also a special- were amazing! We are huge fans of the Brussels sprout appetizer and for dessert the sticky bun. You can't go wrong! Service was great!

Service was excellent! Becca our waitress was very attentive and helpful with our selections. Our food came out rather quick which made me a little skeptical but it was delicious! We had the rack of lamb and filet medallions and both were cooked to order. Walked around the grounds after and there was live music outside and just a beautiful venue. Highly recommend for a very enjoyable experience.

Deviled eggs were delicious and the burger was V good. Great char flavor. Server was excellent. Outside dining needs better lighting. Parking lot lighting was terrible at best. I found it very stuffy, not a real friendly vibe.

We very much enjoyed the Thursday night Barnburger special. Each of the four of us in our party ordered this & each of us had the same response, great burger! We finished our meal with the stick bun ala mode, not to be missed. The entire dining experience was enhanced by the live music provided by an exceptional artist.
