“Clean and good service. They have pool, darts, and outdoor seating. You can order food at the bar from Portofinos next door and they bring it over so you can eat at gormans. Their food is amazing and so reasonably priced, they also have different drink specials everyday, and many of them. The bartender Sam is a sweetheart and great at her job. She recognized me and my boyfriend by the second time we came in, remembered what drinks we got, and shes great at making conversation. We will definitely keep coming back“

“I had their ham BBQ sandwich and it was so good. My girlfriend and I split the fried pickles which had bacon bits on it which was unique and very flavorful. The size of the pickles were also surprising because they were big and tasty. It has a nice atmosphere and if you go around the holidays you'll see some nice Christmas aesthetics. The service was also really good and fast with our waiting staff and servers checking on us frequently and bringing us our food quickly and efficiently. I will be returning with more people next time so they can know how awesome this place is.“

“Visiting Pittsburgh over the weekend and couldn’t miss our Buckeyes vs TTUN. Mike’s Beer Bar was recommended, and it was hands down one of the best game day bar experiences we’ve ever had. The atmosphere was incredible, drink menu (both on tap and cans) showing a plethora of choices to satisfy anyone, and great food. The staff was second to none and very friendly as well. “We were the last people in on a Friday night and hungry. Dining room was empty so we sat at the bar. By the time we were done, we were the only patrons. (They close at 9). The owners were working and made us feel very welcome. We had a nice visit, the food was good (fish sandwiches, fries and coleslaw...large portions), and price was nice. We never felt rushed which we appreciated. Good place for a casual meal...full menu etc. I recommend and we will be back.“

Little hole-in-the-wall place with not a lot of seats, but it was always full.\nThe most amazing thing about Shale's was that when I ordered food, they had a grill outside and a dude just going to town cooking up double cheeseburgers for all the patrons.\nHe was amazing to talk to, and the burgers were excellent.“
