“Went last night with two friends for my birthday! I think our chef said his name was Gino! He was great and our waitress and the food was great! My only complaint was that the music was blaring so, we couldn't hear what anyone was saying and we really could even talk to each other!!! It took away from the experience since our chef was saying things that we couldn't hear. I did ask three different staff members if they could lower it to no avail. We don't think we will go back there again! We had to keep asking our waitress to repeat herself and that got to be exhsusting😣“

She seemed to be higher up in the ranks (her name is Susan maybe?), and she is a wonderful, honest woman and an overall pleasure to converse with. “Such a nice place, my friend loves this place and wanted to show us and wow I am so glad she did. I ordered the shoyu ramen and it was absolutely amazing!! They have so many options in the menu it took us a while to decide. Our server was so nice, she remembers her regulars and was very attentive to our table and making sure we enjoyed our meal! “I love Akira every time! We live in town and go regularly for take out, eat in, and hibachi. We have gone multiple times for hibachi and the service is great, atmosphere is fun, and they are accommodating of young children. Out son has more and more fun each time we go. I also love the sushi variety and flavor. So happy to have a non Italian spot in town!“

“I have eaten sushi in Puerto Rico, Colorado and many places that are ok to my taste. But for me the best place to eat Sushi is Wasabi Restaurant in Mount Laurel, NJ. I enjoy the sushi they prepare here. It is so fresh and I can enjoy every flavor of their rolls or sushi with or without any sauce. From the rice, avocados and fish. I love their yellowtail with scallions and their salmon avocado roll. I like their combo Japanese fried rice too. This is just my favorites but I know that everything they prepare in this Restaurant is top quality. If you decide to enjoy this place by take out or dining, be aware that they will require some time to prepare your meal because it is not a fast food and the food will be prepared fresh for you. Since I tasted their sushi rolls I can’t eat a pre made sushi or supermarket, or buffet sushi anymore. With this restaurant I learned to eat raw fish. I used to eat before rolls that were only with shrimp, eel, or smoked salmon. Now, I can eat all their sushi.“

“The food is clean and has flavor but most of the time it gets too you 10-20 minutes earlier than when they tell you and your veggies are not cooked all the way through. As you eat you are crunching away on all the veggies. You need to take the time and cook everything and not worry about the time it gets to the person that orders. All in all a nice/clean spot.“

Really love what they did with the space and truly excited for the addition of the bar so that we can enjoy their great custom cocktails with newtown's best sushi. The food is obviously still on point but beware of their penicillin drink! With their in-house pressed ginger and bitters, holy crap they are dangerously delicious! Love the upgraded esthetic and vibe at Oishi! Oh and lastly i love that they brought over some of the korean menu items like boa buns and crispy korean fried chicken from their other spot Omiza ?
