Amazing Indian food. Drive out of our way to go to. This and the one in Fishtown are the best Ekta locations.

Always enjoy the quick and accurate service from Ekta Bryn Mawr. Have also appreciated the host's recommendations on new dishes to try. Favorites include the Khali mirch fish and Dal makhani although we have enjoyed a wide variety of mains and appetizers. Routinely order for take out for the family and it hits right every time!

I went with my friends for dinner the food was delicious but Appetizer should be improved as well as portions. The cuisine was flavorful. The Atmosphere n service was great so we might visit again.

My first time trying Indian food and decided to get take out from Ekta as I live in the area and pass it almost every single day! I was pleasantly surprised. Got two huge samosas, paneer naan, baigan bharta (eggplant dish) and rice for about $23. All vegetarian friendly! It was so delicious and I will definitely be going back :)

Delicious and intricately flavored food, excellent and attentive service. Bathroom on premises. Street parking free after 6pm. Small interior sitting space; ideal for small parties or take out. Ekta is one of best Indian restaurants in the area!

My family and I got take out on 10/13/23. While the food was very good in terms of taste, the portion sizes are a complete rip off. We got 3 entrees (2 chicken dishes and 1 shrimp dish) and all 3 of them came in appetizer size containers. The butter chicken, mango chicken and shrimp were put in 6-8oz plastic containers…. I’m not sure if they were trying to save money or cut corners or we wouldn’t notice but … that was a complete rip off for entrees that cost $22-30. If you’re ordering take out beware.

My wife just placed order with Ekta through grubhub, order was delivered without naan’s we ordered. Though grubhub initiated refund but it’s not about refund when someone is waiting for their food. What would we do with food without breads. They just spoiled our evening. NOT HAPPY. Not Ordering again.

Food was ok. Chicken was undercooked a bit. Not sure if it was just that day. But the table we sat smelled so bad and dirty. Agree with the previous review on the service and management. They were a bit rude when i complained about the cleanliness. Overall not a great experience.

The okra in the bindi masala was tough and stringy, almost woody. Inedible. The chef must have noticed this is he/she sliced it up. Sauce was so concentrated is tasted like moist charcoal. I thought waiter did not charge me for this entree but later realized I was charged half. Unacceptable.

Was excited to try this place out! My wife and I thought everything was delicious and enjoyed the aesthetic of the inside of the restaurant. We were also pleasantly surprised by the prices on the menu. We spent a little less money than we normally do at Indian restaurants and the food was still solid. We plan to come again and I'd recommend this place for people who are looking to try Indian food for the first time.

It’s always delicious to go there;I love the biryani! A minor detail: they should clarify that even the food with no-spicy signs CAN be spicy. There was one person in our party that could not enjoy their food because it was spicy.I eat spicy food and order the chicken kadai. It was definitely very spicy but enjoyable.Everybody is super nice!
