This restaurant is, quite frankly, the epitome of charming. The decor is clearly done by hand, the painted stenciling slightly askew, the front window a darling mishmash of brocade and little sparkling candle-lamps and the odd hookah. A large mirror on the far wall stands like some magic portal in the back of a slightly chintzy bazaar, lending an airiness to the room along with the natural light from the wide front window. We were greeted by the proprietor, who learned all of his cooking from his mother and now shares the kitchen with his wife. Determined to ensure every visitor is treated to a flawless experience, he brought bottles of water and then proceeded to tour us through the menu, giving sound advice indeed on where to begin (and to end) the meal. Chatty and teasing, he is wonderful to talk to, but also knows when to vanish again and let you enjoy your food. And you Will.Sweet heaven. The caliber of the food brought to our table is far higher than a glance at the tables on the patio or the slightly drippy geometric patterns on the wall prepares you for. The plating was frankly lovely, and the flavours were absolutely to die for, from the lemony, garlicky eggplant to the sizzling, olive-studded chicken tagine. I came looking specifically for the pastilla, and the cinnamon-and-sugar-dusted, chicken and almond-stuffed pastry did not disappoint. Ultimately, the three of us could not finish everything, so a few scraps of leftovers, and a significant amount of baklava got packaged to go home. I recommend it, honestly, let the experience last as long as you can.So- We live hours south of this precious little place with its long couches and little round bolster pillows, but we Will be back. I'm sure I can find some sort of excuse in the area to make my way back up again.Vegetarian options: A significant portion of the menu is vegetarian, including nearly all of the appetizers, and several other options including a tagine and a falafel gyro. There are also fish options for those who are pescatarian.Parking: We were there early on a Sunday so found a spot reasonably easily, but it will probably be more difficult later in the day, and it is metered.Wheelchair accessibility: It's walk-out with no steps and can easily accommodate a wheelchair.

This is a really awesome restaurant in the main line area. Excellent food, service, and this restaurant will literally transform you into Morocco. Mohammad the owner does it right and he has an awesome team to make the dining experience a memorable one. Support this small business you will not be disappointed. With Moroccans they are the most hospitable people ever!!

I LOVE the food at White House Tagine. We shared the Lamb Shank Tagine, Chicken Pastille and Mezze, and lamb kofta kabobs as a group of three. The food was outstanding. The restaurant itself is small and quirky, is perhaps the best way to describe it- some things, like the loose HVAC vent near our table just seem to need a little more attention to detail, but the food is som amazing, that sort of thing seems petty and weird to notice. It's clear their attention is all on the food, and they do it VERY well.

Ugh, I would not return, this is a low budget operation. The food was overcooked, and there's really no waiter, just food runners after the owner comes around to take orders. They don't even give you glasses for water, they just hand you a plastic water bottle. We sat upstairs and the steps were slippery, the bannister was partially pulled off the wall. Another patron fell down the steps.

We had the most fantastic meal and wonderful service. The staff are really fantastic and accommodating and made some wonderful recommendations. Wouldn't hesitate to go back. The baklava really is the best I've tasted.

Unbelievably delicious food, served in an artistic way -- the couple that owns this restaurant are personable, welcoming, and bring a beautiful slice of Morocco to our community. Total gem! 10/10

Where do I begin? What a very bizarre place! The food was delicious but the owner who was managing the upstairs, where we were seated, was impatient and honestly crazy. He kept rushing us saying “we're very busy tonight, there are people waiting outside to get in.” He did not explain the menu and got our order wrong which we only realized when we left the restaurant 1 hour after being seated. Two people were seated next to us at a table for four with two other diners who they did not know. They got up and left. We were seated at a cramped table against the wall on a bench that was sloping downward. I did say the food was delicious but won't be returning.

Loved White House - great cuisine, each and every dish. The Mezze was fabulous. The chicken pastilla, divine. The chicken tajine was superb and the baclava was a special delight at the end of our meal. Topped off with mint tea made for a wonderful evening. Great dinner. I look forward to coming back to try the lamb chops and one of the couscous. We will definitely be back often.

My bf and I love Mediterranean food and this place was authentic and absolutely delicious! We cleaned off our plates, the meat fell right off the bone. So savory! It’s slower service because the owners serve and cook, but it was well worth the wait. They were very pleasant and had a great NY’s dinner here.

The food was fresh and delicious. We started with the Mezze and then shared the lamb and chicken kabob platters. The meats were tender and the spices were great. Highly recommend.
