“After months of intending to try Palmyra Mediterranean Cuisine, I finally made it for a late lunch this afternoon. While I am a native Pittsburgher, I had resided in NYC for 15 years and experienced some damn good shawarma, and what I was served today is second to none. This is not a compressed mass of processed ground beef and lamb, but rather marinated, stacked, tender cuts of meat perfectly roasted on the spit. You may, if you're fortunate, find shawarma as good, but I am certain you won't find better. Also, the proprietors are genuinely good folks with a demonstrated - however, humble - pride in their in their food, and this is reflected from the first bite to the last. If South Hills Village is remotely convenient to you, make the trip. (Also pictured is the spicy hummus, baba ghanoush, and stuffed grape leaves.)“

“We were driving thru the area looking for a new style of food to try. Gyro places have always peaked my palate, so we thought we'd give them a try. The restaurant was very easy to find with convenient parking steps away. You walk in, grab a menu, and find a seat. We were greeted immediately upon entering. They had 5 tables (a booth, 2 half booth/half tables, and 2 6-tops. Due to their window advertisements, it looks like they do a lot of deliveries. My husband and I both ordered the chicken souvlaki. They came out so fast! They were wrapped beautifully, loaded with chicken, and fresh. The tzatiki sauce was rich and creamy. We would have both preferred the chicken to be hotter. I think the sauce may have cooled it down some, as well. We also ordered the Cretan fries to share, but we were both too full to eat them. We'd definitely go back again.“

“We went there for take out on Sunday night for dinner. Tried a small babaganus, regular falafel, one assorted aladin special kebab platter and one seesh kebab platter. The platters comes with buttered rice. Some of them comes with salad as well. The food taste really great. All the kebabs were very well cooked There, flavorful and tender. Babagsnus was very tasty as well. There was a pita with one of the above dishes but not sure with which dish I got the pita. My complain is about the quantity. The platters cost anywhere between 17 and 21 dollars. Given the price the quantity was not what I was expecting. Also the dips like tahini sauce or garlic sauce were not free which was kind of wired. They will change you 75 cents for that. The ambiance looked ok to me. There were one one couple eating in the restaurant when I went to order. So not sure if it gets busy during some other time of the day. There were ample parking available. The shop also sells cakes like carrot cake tiramisu and baklava. The service was really good. I ordered upon reaching there. It took them under 15mins to hand over my order“

“Aladdin’s never disappoints! We had a real nice dinner tonight. I had the Aladdin’s platter and my wife had the Gene’s Combo platter. BOTH were delicious! I highly recommend eating here in Mt.Lebanon. I can’t wait to come back again! Leah was our server and she was informative about the menu and attentive. I wish they would open a new Aladdin’s in the West Hills area!“

“AMAZING food. So flavorful, tender, and fresh! Very great locally owned business with very friendly and helpful staff! Definitely recommend. I go a few times a month and even after I move I’ll make the drive for this food. Also, regarding the one comment about the owners personality clearly someone who is not very cultured. Often those from other cultures have different syntax to their voice and can be soft spoken. Having rules in her store and her own operating hours is HER CHOICE. She has always been very kind and very helpful. Ignore the ignorance and I appreciate your food and kindness.“

“We LOVE the Dormont location! The food is great! The staff is even better! Our only complaint is that they close at 9…. We were drinking last night and watching the Pens game and the TVs just get turned off at 8:30 because they close at 9:00 way too early for a Friday night. There were still several people who were eating and drinking. A missed opportunity for more business in our opinion.“

“After a long hiatus following Covid closures we finally stopped in for a dinner on Friday night. The service was excellent. The food was as we remembered … flavorful and served hot right out of the kitchen. Mediterranean Chicken and Lubbe are both great. Gyro is OK. Only negative was the atmosphere was a bit bright and had a “cold” ambiance that felt like a cafeteria. Other than that great authentic pick for a good dinner.“
