“Been here a several times and food is always super good. Very happy with the veg options.I had drinks and food there again the other night and it drove me to write this review... i need to say, the staff is truly phenomenal. Julie and Dani know their stuff and are so incredibly welcoming. Food was super good as usual but I really felt compelled to sing these praises this time.Go to The Forge if you want great service and atmosphere + the good food and drinks are a bonus!!!!!!!“
“Stopped by a couple of weeks ago and had chicken shish and lamb kebabs. Both were perfectly done and very tasty. Both meals were so big we had more than enough Breakfast the next day. Very peaceful, nice music and comfortable chairs and tables in an otherwise simple dining room. Great service too. Will be back.“
“After searching for a breakfast spot in the Pittsburgh area, we stumbled on this place and let me tell you that this spot was WOW. Fabulous atmosphere with absolutely delicious Turkish food and super friendly staff. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to try authentic Turkish food.“
“I heard some reviews about this place and had to give it a try. Extremely nice staff, flavorful food made with fresh tasting ingredients. I can tell the owner really cares about the food here it shows. I had the gyro wrap with fries and it was delicious. The house made hot sauce that came with it was awesome and the tzatziki sauce mixed with the lamb was some of the best food I've had. I'd absolutely recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be coming back!“
“Best food in Pittsburgh! We eat here about once a week. We order take out, dine in, and order grub hub when we are lazy, and it’s all consistently delicious. Natasha and her parents are so welcoming and have such a good vibe.I’ve ordered for work events and had large quantities made and it turned out amazing .The lamb chops are 10/10 , better than any 5 star restaurant in the city. You can’t get homemade ,authentic , ethnic food like this too many places. I recommend to all of my friends and family.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access and no steps“
“After months of intending to try Palmyra Mediterranean Cuisine, I finally made it for a late lunch this afternoon. While I am a native Pittsburgher, I had resided in NYC for 15 years and experienced some damn good shawarma, and what I was served today is second to none. This is not a compressed mass of processed ground beef and lamb, but rather marinated, stacked, tender cuts of meat perfectly roasted on the spit. You may, if you're fortunate, find shawarma as good, but I am certain you won't find better. Also, the proprietors are genuinely good folks with a demonstrated - however, humble - pride in their in their food, and this is reflected from the first bite to the last. If South Hills Village is remotely convenient to you, make the trip. (Also pictured is the spicy hummus, baba ghanoush, and stuffed grape leaves.)“
“Everyone is always so nice and the food is incredible! I enjoy getting lunch from here, despite it being about a 12 min walk—it’s worth the jaunt. The meat is always really tender (I like the chicken shawarma), they have excellent hummus, and I love their potatoes and green beans. The price is also very good for everything, the portion sizes are big, I always have leftovers.Vegetarian options: Large selection of vegetarian options.“
“Very calm environment peppered with seasoned patrons. Delicious appetizers, wonderful drink specials for happy hour. If you haven't tried it yet, this should be on your short list for an after work gathering. Better for intimate engagements; dim lighting and close seating.“
“I've eaten at Delaney's just one other time and was very happy with the food. I stopped in today for a coffee and treat. I got the almond croissant but was prepared to be disappointed. Too often, when I've purchased almond croissants elsewhere, I find that there isn't enough almond filling.Well, let me just say that I was not disappointed today! The filling went almost to the very end on both sides of the croissant and there was plenty spread all throughout. The croissant is flaky but I wouldn't have cared if it had the density of a bagel. The filling did it for me.Good coffee, service felt a smidgeon slow but it i was in and out in less than 10 minutes so, that was just me. And, the people at the counter were just lovely-- very polite, professional, and pleasant.I would definitely recommend Delaney's for coffee and a treat to start the day. Or for lunch.“
“Mmmmm... very good. ??Google keeps providing great suggestions on areas we've never been.Very cute, clean little restaurant with excellent food and excellent service. I think it is just one man here and he is very efficient! Cute, quiet atmosphere, and good portion sizes. As you can see by the pictures the presentation is great, and the last picture speaks for itself! No doggie bags needed! ???Very nice traditional experience. We had 2 Turkish coffees, so I will probably be up until next Tuesday, but it was also very good. ??We will definitely be back.?Vegetarian options: Lots of Vegetarian options.. all were delicious. ??Parking: 10“
“The lamb and rice was perfectly cooked. The seasonings and sauces were delicious. Turkish coffee and rice pudding for dessert were also excellent. The server was very nice and welcoming. It’s easy to recommend this place, you will not be disappointed.“
“I love Kassab's. Great food. The sleek is incredible, stuffed grape leaves are wonderful, hummus is really fresh, and their sandwiches are awesome. I often pick the mezza platter for a lunch meeting, and everyone has always loved it. Eating good, and eating healthy!“
“Heavily recommend this place!Whatever you get it's bound to be great tasting and generous. The owner is very kind and will make you feel welcome.I got the chicken tawook and it was delicious, both packed with flavor and juices and very filling too.“
“It was very clean. The lady that served us and the gentleman that cooked for us were extremely kind and helpful to my sister and I. The food was fantastic and tasted so super fresh!!! My sister came in all the way from Israel and it was our first experience here and I know that I will definitely be back!!! Thank you Cafe Eighteen!!“
“A family run business on Babcock Road in the North Hills. They have a nice selection of menu options and desserts. I ordered a chicken gyro, and it was loaded with vegetable toppings. The desserts they offer looked delicious, but I did not try any this time.“
“Pasha was a really wonderful, cozy Mediterranean restaurant that I will absolutely be coming back to! The lamb was amazing, I haven't had lamb this good since I was in Greece. The falafel, while I was surprised to only get 5, were dense and filling. My partner and I split the lamb platter and it was a really good amount of food for the both of us. The decor is really cozy and cute, it makes you feel like you're at home, very classic to Shadyside. Do not leave without getting the baklava, it was divine.“
“This hidden gem check all the good boxes! It takes a bit longer to get your food but it really is worth the wait. Our waitress was super nice and it was a very clean place. They have some of the best tasting fries you can get here. Very low noise level and no wait time to get seated. Prices are very reasonable. There is lots of parking in a lot right next door and some behind the building. This used to be Toms Diner. Very nice menu. If you haven't been here you really should try it“
“The food here is always great! I ordered the gyro kit to serve for guests. There was plenty of gyro meat, pita bread and all the necessary fixings. Everything was ready on time and was delicious. I have ordered several times and will continue to order in the future.“
“We got to take advantage of the nice weather and sit on the patio, our server (also the owner?) was so kind and made us feel welcome. The food was incredible and very well portioned, we ended up taking home leftovers! We got the Karniyarik and Bosphorus mixed grill platter, plus dessert to take home (not pictured)Parking: We parked on a residential street nearbyWheelchair accessibility: There is a moderately tight entry, but lots of space between tables, flat ground“
“Aladdin’s never disappoints! We had a real nice dinner tonight. I had the Aladdin’s platter and my wife had the Gene’s Combo platter. BOTH were delicious! I highly recommend eating here in Mt.Lebanon. I can’t wait to come back again! Leah was our server and she was informative about the menu and attentive. I wish they would open a new Aladdin’s in the West Hills area!“
“Their entrees are huge and come with a salad. I love the thickness of the dejaj bil khudar -- the green peas, tomato soup, and the chicken breast mixed up so well! I wish the rice was a bit less bland but it blends very well with the meat. The food came out in less than 10 min. I believe this is a family-run restaurant. Super impressive given there were many large parties. The host was fast in filling up water and offering to-go boxes. We went during Christmas season. The place was filled with festive decor, warm and cozy.“
“This is our second time we live over two hours away in Northeast Ohio, And made the trip specifically for the pizza! It is so good. The crush is amazing. The overall taste takes me down memory lane we got the vegan pies. Be sure to give it a try 10 out of 10“
“Great little spot with great selection. First time we got a little bit of everything. Falafel salad and gyro were great. Hummus, baba ganoush, stuffed grape leaves, chickpea salad, and a few others from the cooler were great. Got a dozen baklava, ate half the first day.“
“I was walking by Fifth avenue, and I stopped to get some food from Ash \\u0026 Kris Kitchen truck. Honestly, it was by far the best Gyro I’ve had in Pittsburgh. I met Ash personally and he was super nice and friendly. Highly recommend if can spot the truck.“
“Great experience at Alihan's today! My friend and I ordered the iskander kebab and Turkish falafel. We really liked them both! The complementary bread is so soft and chewy. The ambience strikes a nice balance between classy and comfortable. We learned from the staff as they closed out for the evening that they had been understaffed. They were so pleasant and attentive that it didn't show! I highly recommend Alihan's for an all around positive experience.“
“Amel's is top of the line Mediterranean cuisine and my favorite go-to for baba gannouj. They have an extensive menu (including American fare) and always have several dinner specials. My favorites: stuffed eggplant, mazze platter, tabbulee, grape leaves and lamb shish kabob. The beet salad is excellent. Their seafood specials are always fresh and delicious! The swordfish kabob is outstanding if it's on special. Entrees include a stellar Amel's salad and warm pita bread. There's a separate bar with patio seating and a small bar in the dining room. Embellishing a great dinner is a warm and colorful ambiance of many hanging lamps, and the romantic mural on the wall will captivate your imagination! I've enjoyed dining here for years, and it offers good service and a moderately priced menu. Amel's is one of the few restaurants where you can enjoy a late dinner or small plates and cocktails. They are open until 11 pm Monday through Saturday. If you are looking for a big hit for a party try the mazza platter. I thoughtful friend added it to my birthday party menu. It contains, the dips, taboulee, artichoke hearts, stuffed grape leaves and pita. It can also be also vegan friendly and gluten-free, and everyone loved it!“
“This will always be a place I go to anytime I visit family in Pittsburgh. There isn’t a place around quite like this. The owner personally serves you and gives you a little history about the dishes he made for Jackie O. The wine is excellent, not too strong or over powering. The hummus is the best I’ve had. And the Jackie O cake has to be the best cake I’ve ever had also. I don’t eat sweets usually but I could eat Christo’s cake all day. Definitely my favorite Greek restaurant.“
“Small shop, no place to sit and eat, just a grab and go. Very friendly and the food was delicious! Best falafel I've had in a while! Mt daughter loved their pita and hummus.Vegetarian options: They clearly labeled dishes on their menu as vegetarian , vegan or dairy free. That was great for us because one of us has a dairy allergy.“
“I had the Hummus Bowl and it was delicious. My compliments to the chef, but the service was horrible. The person at the register was not nice. We told her it was our first time and her response was “there’s the menu”. We tried to ask her questions about the menu and at first she replied with one-word answers and then she left.“
“Really outstanding find here. I hope they stay in business for a very long time. I was not familiar with all the cuisines but everything appeared authentic made to order. The teas and coffees were not made from instant like other places. I was probably the only native English speaker there at the time — always a good sign.“
“The food is delicious. The service is always great. I love the Dijon chicken wraps, Cauliflower, Jasmine's favorite... I could go on.Vegetarian options: There a options.Parking: Parking can be hard. You may have to circle the block or park around the corner at a paid lot or park all the way down the street at the paid parking garage. It's a busy area.Kid-friendliness: YesWheelchair accessibility: They can accommodate a wheelchair. It's not a large space but it would be fine. The tables area close together but it goes all the way to the back. The individual tables are close and on the smaller side. They can move tables together if need be.“
“We often go there with a group of 89 or 10 people, including two children under the age of six. The staff always accommodates us and serves us well. They also permit one to BYOB with a small cork fee. I am not a big fan of Middle Eastern food but I think, the food is fresh and wholesome and they have many many vegan selections.“
“I have been to this restaurant with family and friends at least a dozen times. This is the best Mediterranean food I have ever had. Totally authentic with the best ingredients. It is seasoned to perfection and everything tastes delicious. My family and friends have all been very impressed as well. It’s healthy and delicious food and I love supporting a family owned business. The restaurant is clean and the service is friendly. I would love to eat here every day.“
