“Great Turkish breakfast spot. We ordered the menemen and the sunny-side-up eggs with potatoes, but the real standout was the menemen. It’s similar to Middle Eastern shakshuka, but with scrambled eggs instead.

The outdoor seating was lovely and comfortable.

“Bosphorus has the tastiest lamb kebabs, as well as an interesting selection of different types of grilled lamb and chicken, served with a delicious salad, sauce and rice. There are great vegetarian options, too and the owner/server has a great memory for your preferences. Outdoor seating was pleasantly shaded, and indoor is of course also available.“

When making reservations we thought bar seating was in the bar area but it is at the actual bar so if you don't want to sit at the bar select other seating. We had 3 and sat on the corner and it was a little hard to hear the 3rd person over the sounds of the bartenders shaking drinks. Would go back and instead select the lounge seating instead.“

“Recently we had out of town guests, and they raved about the food particularly the seafood options. The 2 different meals they had at the restaurant were both exemplary and I was very proud to tell them we eat there often. We first ordered our meal for takeout and then we went to the dining room for the second meal. Thank you for the many years of continued dining excellence.“

“I went for lunch today and ordered a kid’s meal. The portion was sizeable and filling (I am 5’3” and 125lbs, so I am kid sized). Also it was delicious- I got grilled chicken, brown rice, pita, hummus, and lettuce. I have never had grilled chicken that flavorful before!

Service was great, and I was able to get my food fairly quickly despite it being busy. The staff were super friendly and helped me when I was confused!

I did dock off one star because the atmosphere was very loud and it was difficult to hear the employees over the music. But I do tend to be sensitive to noise, so take that with a grain of salt.

Overall great!

Edit: forgot to mention, but I didn’t end up getting the drink with my kid’s meal. I didn’t stand up for myself and it was busy, so I don’t blame that on the workers (used to be a customer service worker myself, it’s really difficult) Besides, I was there for the food anyway!“

“I placed a takeout order at the Fox Chapel (Pittsburgh) location on 3/29, around 5pm. I live in SE Virginia and my son’s father lives in Aspinwall, we were meeting 1/2 way in Maryland for spring break so I asked him if he’d pick up and take out order for me at the FC restaurant, and bring it with him and our son. (Nothing in my area compares to Aladdin’s!!). When I called, an amazing woman answered the phone, I asked ONLY if they could put the sauce on the side for my Shawarma so it wasn’t soggy 8 hours later when I’d be home to eat! Without second thought, she offered to make both of the Shawarma’s “deconstructed” with everything separate so I could “build” the wraps myself!! I also ordered the Dawali! When my ex handed me the bag and went to the cooler to get my food, I noticed what the crew had done…. They put everything in separate takeout containers and even wrote instructions on the Dawali container for me to heat, when I got home!! Everything was separate and the amount of extra time that was spent on the order was above and beyond!! It may seem simple, but for them to take the time and effort to make sure my food was just as good as it would have been if I ate in the store was really refreshing!! So THANK YOU to the Fox Chapel location for packing my order with such attention and my ex will be bringing a cooler with Shawarma’s and Diwali’s each time we meet in Maryland!!!“

“This is our favorite Alddin’s location in Pittsburgh. The food is always delicious; kibbe, beef kafta rolls, Aladdin’s favorite combo, and baba gannouj are our usual picks. Atmosphere is warm and inviting. It’s easy for us to get to and has a parking garage across the street for easy parking. We have made friends with some of the staff and always love dining in. Highly recommend!“

“The food was good. Placed a pick up order to try out this restaurant for the first time. I didn’t realize a gryo wasn’t a wrap so my meal all came in a bowl with sides of pita. I thought everything was good, but I love sauce and could have used twice the amount of sauce they provided. I def recommend.“

“Very nice Mediterranean restaurant. I visited this place on the day before Mother’s Day, and it was surprisingly not super packed. It’s got a nice location on the central road in Squirrel Hill, but it’s a bit hard to find parking. When I got there, I got to try their shish tawouk (chicken kabob), mujadara, salad with feta, and iced mint tea.

The tea was pretty alright. Refreshing and a nice mint flavor; I think they might make the blend in house. They also brought out some nice pita before we started the meal.

For my main course, I ordered the shish tawouk. You usually get this meal with the rice pilaf, but they were out, so I got to try the mujadara. I’m actually quite glad! The chicken was tender, and the portion was very fair. They served it with a nice tomato sauce, but I also asked for some garlic sauce on the side. The sauces both seem to be homemade, and definitely go well with the chicken.

The mujadara was surprisingly delicious. They top the dish with crispy sweet onions. It’s a mix of lentils and some other grain. Very good!

One thing to mention generally is this place closes quite early, usually around 8 or 8:30 PM, so do keep it in mind. It is also very clearly a family endeavor, with the mom managing most of the tables and the kids always helping out. Very nice place!“

Each week, over 30 people would participate in a head-to-head showdown between 2 establishments, where the winner would move on. Pizzas were ranked on cheese, sauce, crust, and toppings. “So, the food is always great here as well as service. But today it was packed! Sidney was at the Bar and Harley was running the back dining room as well as the high tops at the bar. Did we wait? Yes for longer than usual - understaffed - sure. BUT Sidney, Harley and the food runners crushed it. We all left extra tips to thank then for their hard work - they never not had a smile on their face, always accommodated when they were over extended, and took the time to remember that it was my husbands birthday. Kudos to the team at Mike and Tony’s tonight. Their smiles, laughter and eagerness to help everyone is well noted. Cheers to that team.“

Some reviews will talk about how it is empty and that’s a warning, but they are wrong. I had some doubts walking in; we were the only people there, and it was just Christo as the waiter. But as soon as he brought out the pita and hummus i knew that it was going to be good-It wasn’t your prepackaged chain hummus it was homemade and you can tell. When it is empty, it doesn’t stay empty for long. After about 10 minutes in there the place became packed. 10/10 would recommend. Everything is reasonably priced and do not skip dessert. Portions are great, not too big not too small. The only reason I put 20-30$ as the option below is because we each go your own salad main dish and appetizer and it was still only like 30 bucks each.Great for a post or pre Pirates game meal. Great walking distance from it, feet away from the Roberto Clemente bridge. I would drive the 4hrs it takes to drive one way to Pittsburgh just to get a meal at Christos. Only strike against it was that it isn’t open on Mondays. Fantastic. Was not expecting dinner to turn into a highlight of my trip.“

“Really nice place for a good time and tasty food! I am actually quite impressed with how tasty the food was here. This place serves a variety of food items, from American burgers to Middle Eastern wraps. It seems like they are best known for their saj, so that's what I ordered. I tried the Arabic chicken shawarma saj with French fries.

It was delicious! The price was quite fair for the decently large portion. The chicken was cooked well and had nice spices with it. There was a sauce to put it all together. It was creamy and truly delicious. Some nice pickles for crunch, and the wrap itself was also pretty good. Very nice!

The French fries were kind of mediocre. They didn't have a ton of flavor to them and weren't that crispy. I would have probably been fine without them, or if I could, would have traded them for another side.

All in all, the main course (the saj) was delicious! I definitely recommend this place for some cheap food and a nice experience.

“Over Eden hosted an incredible surprise 30th birthday party for me last night. The food and drinks were incredible and so reasonably priced for the amazing atmosphere that was provided. Our server Cody was so attentive and friendly, patiently took photos and made sure all of our guests needs were met. I tried tastes of the Cajun fries, artichoke spinach dip with pita, calamari and friend shrimp (LOVED the shrimp so fresh), pierogis (if you get angry when ordering them at other restaurants and being handed mrs ts these are perfect home made pillows for you), and the Korean short rib. This was the best birthday of my life and highly attributed by this venue and their staff.“
