“I visited acacia for the first time and really loved their cocktails. I was afraid that without reservations, the wait would be too long. But even on a Saturday evening in Southside, we easily got a table at 8:30pm. I got The Architect which was spicy and refreshing. The service is amazing and they will make any drink off the menu as well. I asked for a Mai Tai and got the best one I've ever had. Definitely recommend this bar to go to with friends. The ambience is also easy-going and chill for catching up with friends or relaxing after a long day.“

I finally got a little reunion group together for brunch when I came back in town for a wedding, and I was blown away. The decor is charming, artful, and full of thoughtful antique restoration mixed with modern touches. “My husband and I had a great time experiencing The Puttery for the first time. We had the unlimited package and played five rounds of golf. This includes three 9 hole courses that you can play as many times as you choose. We also took advantage of the food and drinks. Drinks are allowed on the course and each hole has a stand for you to rest your drinks while you putt. For dinner I had the appetizer, potato flautas, and my husband had the BBQ bacon burger. Each were delightful. The decor on the courses and throughout the building was so much fun. I really enjoyed the different seating selections for dining as well. Linda was the host for the Garage course the day we were there. She was super sweet and seemed to love her job so much! We would recommend this place to many and would definitely come again if we are in Pittsburgh .“

“We (couple) had a great dinner at Bridges & Bourbon. The service and atmosphere were great. We booked a day-of reservation and could only get in for dinner at 8:45pm but we didn't mind terribly. It was the St Patrick's Day parade that day so perhaps was busier than normal. We started with the shrimp and salad, both were good but not amazing. I had the smash burger and my partner had the streak - the mains were great. We ended with the tiramisu cheesecake, not what I was expecting (it was in a small ramekin) and more of a mousse than a cheesecake, but it was a nice light sweet to end our meal. I don't drink but the cocktails they were making looked very cool. On the pricier side but for a special night out I think it's justifiable!“

Service was great, but I had one (small) issue with my breakfast plate. I ordered the frittata, thinking that it would be a thicker piece (a normal frittata), however it was almost paper thin with huge chunks of red & yelllow tomatoes, along with huge chunks of green onion. Not your ideal frittata!“

Let me preface this review by saying I love Nashville Hot Chicken but outside of Nashville, TN is has been difficult to find a "hot" chicken that compares to what I've had in Tennessee. Some other places around the Burgh have Nashville Hot Chicken but the spice combinations don't work. At Gordo's the Nashville Hot Chicken Taco is so good with a perfect spice blend. It tastes like hot chicken tacos that I had at Pie Town Tacos in Nashville. Gordo's is the place in Pittsburgh to satisfy your hot chicken craving. Not to mention, their other menu items are delicious too. And they have great margs. My second favorite menu item is the Churoli- A churro and cannoli hybrid that rocks!“

My friend has been here many times over the years and said the back bar area is pretty new. We ordered an appetizer of chicken dumplings and they were really good. We also each ordered a cocktail. The cocktails were okay. I got the Bramble On and it tasted kind of watered down and flavorless. My friend ordered the Toki Plum Sour and said it was just okay. For our meals, I got the spicy fire chicken with glass noodles and a seaweed salad. My friend got the Korean fried chicken with glass noodles, Napa cabbage kimchi and diakon raddish kimchi. Both of the proteins were so good! Cooked perfectly and came out hot. The seaweed salad was okay as well as the Napa cabbage kimchi. The daikon reddish kimchi was delicious though!
