My wife and I returned to Antica in Chadds Ford for lunch, today

We had gone previously gone to dinner there with friends. We experienced a ‘way above average’ authentic Italian meal at a reasonable price.

Today, being in the area, we tried them for lunch. I had the “Sunday Supper” (odd on a Saturday afternoon). Braised Beef and pork over homemade ribbon pasta with a red gravy ‘to die for’.

All meat items were perfectly cooked (not over cooked)….there was a freshly made meat ball that stole the show with plenty of fresh herbs. Yummy!

Our server, Danny was very attentive and accommodating.

We had planned an upcoming Italian dinner with new friends at another restaurant….we have revised our plans and will be going for the ‘sure thing’….back to Antica. Can’t wait!

Fantastic job by the team at Antica! We celebrated my birthday on Saturday, September 21, with my kids and their spouses. The service, food and atmosphere were amazing. Top notch, all the way! We will definitely be back. Thanks for a great evening!

I hosted my daughters bridal shower at Antica and had a excellent experience. They have a private room removed from the main dining room on the first floor. There is a ramp that makes it very convenient for older folks and restrooms easily accessible. The staff was extremely attentive and the food is top-notch. Everything from the appetizers to the dessert was wonderful. Everyone remarked how delicious everything was, I would absolutely recommend Antica for a private party!

We stopped here for lunch on a Sunday, before heading to Longwood Gardens. It was early (just before noon) and pretty empty. Country music was playing over the speakers, which I realize is a personal preference type of thing, but just felt off for an Italian restaurant. Vibe was more sports bar than an Italian restaurant with 4.7 stars (the google rating at the time of our visit). These kind of things can be overlooked if the food is great, but that was unfortunately not the case. We each ordered salads to start. My wedge salad was fine except for the two sad shriveled cherry tomatoes adorning it. It's prime tomato season in PA, so there is no excuse for this. He had the Caeser salad, which he enjoyed like he does any Caeser. I ordered the carbonara for my main, which came out in a mason jar, shaken up by the waitress table-side. This was the oddest thing, a very awkward feeling experience, and maybe the least Italian feeling thing about the place. I am guessing this shaking in the jar is meant to make it easier on the chef to produce a silky, emulsified sauce, but when poured into my bowl, it was quite soupy. A real disappointment. The glasses of prosecco were enjoyable. The wait staff was attentive and kind enough. But this isn't a place we'll return to given the food.

A friend of mine Recommended Antica for dinner. We were in the area for a wedding and I was looking for a date night place for My Wife and I to enjoy. This place did not disappoint!! From the time we entered the establishment until we drove out of the parking lot after dinner. Service was prompt. The staff made us feel at home and even gave amazing recommendations! I had the Shrimp Fradiavolo which was delicious. My wife enjoyed the Crab and Lobster Ravioli. Dessert time came and we couldn't settle on one dessert to share so we picked 2. Everything here was amazing. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. We will definitely be back when we come to the area!!!

I've been here twice. A good experience both times. I've had a fish meal both times. Branzino and basa (catfish).
