The Village Bowl Restaurant serves authentic and freshly made West African cuisine. The food is described as the best, with excellent quality and truly authentic flavors. Specific praised dishes include FuFu with Liberian GB soup, attieke with plantains and fish, goat soup with fufu, cassava leaf with rice, West Africa potatoes greens, dry rice and fried fish, and okra stew. Portions are huge and well worth the price, often providing leftovers.
The restaurant is very nice inside, clean, and offers a warm and friendly reception. The staff is humble, helpful, and happily explains the different meals and how to eat them. The ginger beer and Bissap juice are made fresh in house and are very refreshing. It is also a BYOB establishment. The experience is amazing, making it a great place to discover this cuisine. Customers plan to be regulars and cannot wait to return.
