On my quest to find the best fish fry in Chester/Lancaster county we decided to try this old rustic joint. (Where I come from we have fish fry Friday every Friday, year round! Every place with in a 25 mile radious serves their own version. Love the Whip. Great vibes, friendly fellow patrons, and good food. Classic English Tavern out in the middle of horse country in Chester County. Always packed, but the wait is usually worth it. Only negative - the prices are high for what you get.

I’ve been to the whip twice and enjoyed it both times. It was well worth the 45 minute trip from Wilmington De. The scenery along route 82 is incredible and the food and atmosphere are great. I can’t wait to return when it’s warm enough to sit on the patio.
