Growing up in west New York and coming off a recent trip to Italy, I didn’t assume this pizza would be much.My assumption was dead wrong. The crust is thin and crispy on the edges while firm enough to hold the slice together throughout. The cheese is melted and blended with the toppings very well. “Wow! Amazing, incredibly good, heavenly food! This place is the best Italian I've had outside of New York and I would bet it could stand up to many a true Italian restaurant in Italy. The food is phenomenal. Everything is made to order and you can tell it. The margherita pizza was absolute perfection - thin with a "well done" crust, so nicely cooked that the slice stuck straight out & held its own weight, fresh mozzarella dressed across it with delectable hand-pressed fresh thick tomato sauce in the valleys between and just the right amount of basil for that earthy pop. The eggplant parm was delicious. The spaghetti alla panna was a rich & decadent sister to alfredo, but much more authentic tasting with just cream and Romano cheese folded together to create the noddle bathing sauce. The white pizza was one of the best things we had - with half topped with broccoli and half with spinach. The garlic was so fresh it just melted in your mouth with the mozzarella, ricotta and veggies. Again, the crust was dreamy - thin, crunchy & just perfect. We were so stuffed and took so much home in to-go containers but still wanted to try out a hoagie so we ordered one to go - simple ham and provolone and ate it the next day. My son and I agreed it's the best hoagie we've ever eaten. We can't wait to go back and try everything on the menu. The food is absolutely divine. And on top of the food, the place is adorably cute inside, very cozy and small and the waitress was so kind, helpful and sweet despite being so busy almost the entire time we were there. They had order after order after order coming through the door. They could barely keep up with the demand. If you're wanting authentic tasting Italian - whether dishes or pizzas or sandwiches - check them out and I bet you will leave with a smile on your face. “It does not matter how many places we try, the Catty Corner is our go to neighborhood restaurant. It is not dark and dingy like Race Street, there isn't a young bartender with severe control issues like Hammerhead (she is really MEAN), and you don't feel like you are in a loud cave like Grove Street ALL while being ignored. The employees all say hello and smile (ALL ~ kitchen and counter staff, drivers, waitresses and bartenders, the owners). They consistently work together to ensure a satisfying experience and the food is great. Even the outside dj's are personable and bring a positive energy. More places should model the Catty Corner.“
“Long story short, the food is fresh, made to order and tasty. Ordered catering for a baby shower. A tray of chicken parm, baked ziti and got a comp tray of garlic bread since I didn't get the discount I hoped for. The chicken was moist and flavorful and the pasta was cooked well. The service is great, the owner Jerry and his family are a delight to speak with and helpful. We felt like part of the fam since they are from Brooklyn, NYC. We will order from them for future events and if in PA, we will make attempt to say hi and try the pizza!“

I'm not sure if it qualifies as proper "fancy restaurant" territory, but it's definitely two steps above your typical chain restaurant.
