“This place is iconic. It's a great family-owned restaurant with good food at an appropriate price and a great staff. They do tons of community work for veterans overall, the VA Hospital, and other businesses in and around Downingtown.I read some mediocre reviews that others wrote, and I wonder if those people actually took the time to remedy their meal on the spot. I'm sure things would have been taken care of quickly.“
“Always great. Even though it isn't the original diner that was in the movie the Blob we still call it The Blob diner. The food is excellent. Their French fries ? are the best. Service is fast and the diner is clean. It isn't very big. Typical railroad train type building.“
“The service is fast and friendly! We've never had to wait longer than a few minutes for seating, and that was only on a Sunday late morning. The food is delicious and filling. So much variety.Parking: There are two free lots, one on each side of the diner. There are plenty of handicap spaces available as well.Kid-friendliness: Lots of kid-friendly food choices, and they provide crayons and paper, too.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair ramp and parking available.“
“Decided to stop in while I was getting my windshield replaced next door. I was surprised to see how quickly we were sat on a bustling Saturday morning. All the employees were very friendly. Food came out quick & hit the spot! Will definitely be back in the future!“
“I've worked near Gramm's for a while and I wish I'd tried it sooner! My boss and I went in for a Friday lunch last week. We were immediately seated and greeted. We were in before noon so we both decided on brunch. My boss had never tried eggs Benedict so she tried their version with bacon and I tried their version with scrapple. A few minutes after we ordered, the power went out due to bad weather! But it was back on within 5 minutes and even more amazingly, our food was served just a couple minutes later. Impressive! I will definitely return.“
“1st time eating here, stopped for a quick breakfast with a friend after a 12 shift. Cute, clean, had the whole dinner vibe including the spinning case of some really yummy looking cakes and pies.Waitress was super friendly, now please keep in mind it's fairly early on a Monday morning, that being said our orders came out really quickly and nice and hot. Eggs, bacon (nice and crispy), home fries had that yummy fried in butter taste.I'll be back, but as of right now would definitely recommend if your in the area.“
“Always a good place to go! The waitress, Erica, has gotten to know me and my family. She is able to recommended this we will like on the menu and her recommendations haven’t been off. Beyond the positive customer service experience, the owner is very kind and supports the community. I like that. Prices are very affordable. Quality of food is beyond the price.Parking: The owner personally shovels if needed. I like that he is hands on. Ample parking options in front, side or back of building,Kid-friendliness: Good place for family to eat. Very child friendly. Kids are 11 and 2.“
“This is a regular spot for us and the food is always excellent. Portion sizes are big. The specials they come up with are creative. I enjoy trying new things here from time to time but my favorite of everything I have had here is a regular menu item called the Bullota (Bacon & Bananas Sauteed with Honey, poured over Texas French Toast & topped with Peanut Butter)I debated over getting that today but then decided to go for one of the specials - Cinamon swirl French toast with carmalized pineapple, rum whipped cream and coconut. As a side, I decided to add the grilled flank steak so that my meal had some protein.I was not disappointed in the taste of my meal but there is one aspect that could have been improved. For something to be carmalized, is needs to be cooked until there is a browning of the sugar in it. Carmelization when done is visible and the pineapple which topped my French toast did not appear carmelized. My food was amazing and I believe that it would have been taken up yet another notch with true carmelization.“
