“After failing miserably at making a reservation downtown, right down the street from where we were is this little gem. Lovely little joint and the pizza by the slice was banging. Cozy, friendly corner shop right next to a cute little watering hole. Will be back.“
“This is a regular spot for us and the food is always excellent. Portion sizes are big. The specials they come up with are creative. I enjoy trying new things here from time to time but my favorite of everything I have had here is a regular menu item called the Bullota (Bacon & Bananas Sauteed with Honey, poured over Texas French Toast & topped with Peanut Butter)I debated over getting that today but then decided to go for one of the specials - Cinamon swirl French toast with carmalized pineapple, rum whipped cream and coconut. As a side, I decided to add the grilled flank steak so that my meal had some protein.I was not disappointed in the taste of my meal but there is one aspect that could have been improved. For something to be carmalized, is needs to be cooked until there is a browning of the sugar in it. Carmelization when done is visible and the pineapple which topped my French toast did not appear carmelized. My food was amazing and I believe that it would have been taken up yet another notch with true carmelization.“
