We had an outstanding lunch here today. The menu is fresh, seasonal, and scrumptious. The service was attentive and friendly. We split the beet tartare appetizer. Yes, BEET. It had the richness you would expect in a meat dish and exceeded our expectations. We both had the crab cake sandwich, which had the most delicious sauce. Somehow even better were the French fries. Perfectly crisp and seasoned on the outside, fluffy inside. Will definitely return!
Blown away, was recommended to me from a local chef and it did not disappoint. A nicely laid out and thoughtful menu with many community sourced ingredients. Each dish was very well cooked, seasoned and executed with beautiful plating. Kind and attentive service at very reasonable price. Can't wait to go back, you guys are killing it, thank you for an amazing meal!
if you haven't, go.. and fun. Quality and care for food. people that like to cook. Chef Justin is talented, makes great flavor combinations. Staff, great, friendly,, smiling... they like working there, the cooks like cooking. you can tell. highly recommend

Vernafern offers an absolutely amazing and exceptional dining experience. The food is consistently delicious and outstanding, with dishes prepared to perfection using fresh ingredients. Guests have raved about the quality, noting it as Michelin quality in waiting.
Highlights include the seared crab cake, various fish entrees, soups like the French onion soup toast, and lunch toasts such as the chicken salad. Salads are described as phenomenal, fresh, and bright, with the pear salad with blue cheese being a standout. The turkey club sandwich with potato salad has also been called absolutely outstanding. For dessert, the chocolate mousse is amazing, complemented by excellent French press coffee.
The atmosphere is lively and fun, with great music, though it can be noisy due to surrounding establishments. Vernafern is praised for its exceptional service, with staff being pleasant and passionate, pacing meals perfectly. They also have a cool system where drinks can be ordered from a neighboring spot. Vernafern is considered a tremendous value and a punch of freshness and flavor, highly recommended and a place guests will definitely return to.
