We stopped for a to go lunch. I have not been to a Long John Silvers in at least 10 years. I had chicken, fries and hush puppies. The fries were ok. The chicken was moist and tender, but there's a flavor either in the breading, or the oil that detracts from the chicken for me. It's a slightly bitter aftertaste that I Dont care for. No matter what my family and I order we always have to wait at least 10 minutes and we must pull forward. They are not busy so why the wait is beyond me. Most of the time they are friendly, but sometimes two people will be out back and just talk while people sit at the speaker.

I love LJS. My mom and I were at the one in Dubois last week. We drove 2 hours to get there and we got the fish, shrimp and chicken. The fish and hush puppies were wonderful. I have never cared for the chicken and still don't. The shrimp was spoiled with an awefull smell and taste. I talked to the staff and they brought me more shrimp but the smell was the same.
