Shady Maple Smorgasbord Reviews
I was not impressed, after traveling 6 hours and spending over $400 for 12 of us to eat. I dont expect buffets to be great but it wasnt even good for buffet standards. My steak was cold, the cajun catfish was salty not spicy, bbq pork was to sweet, the skin on the smoke sausage was toughest smoke sausage I ever eat. Everytime I ever went the food was amazing many selections to choose from very clean and tidy. this places serves thousands a day they might not all be as happy as others but customer service is great 😃
Went for lunch today and what a waste of $50.00!! Only reason I tried it was because my favorite buffet was closed today and I already drove an hour and a half to have lunch. The food was not even hot and had no taste. It was like eating school cafeteria food!! Won’t be back ever!

Shady Maple Smorgasbord is a popular spot with a fun atmosphere and amazing food. It is especially known for its breakfast buffet, featuring delicious bacon, waffles, potatoes, and fresh fruit. The restaurant is always busy, but the lines move quickly, often taking about 15–30 minutes to get a table. Guests can enjoy a wide variety of dishes, including hotdogs, gyros, hamburgers, pizza, veggies, meats, and even Hog Stomach. The portions are large, leaving guests full and satisfied. The parking lot is spacious, similar to a mall parking lot, and the restaurant is wheelchair accessible with ramps and elevators. Families will find kid-friendly options, including plenty of food and drinks, highchairs, and fun activities like face painting and balloon animals for children. The lively atmosphere is filled with happy diners and interesting art pieces on the walls that add to the ambiance. The food is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully served, with attentive staff making everyone feel welcome. Many guests appreciate the friendly service and describe the atmosphere as comfortable and upscale cafeteria-like. However, some recent experiences have been stressful, with buffet utensils not always changed out and condiments often empty, creating a chaotic environment. There have also been issues like no ice in the machines and seafood not being in a designated area for those with severe food allergies. Despite these challenges, the restaurant remains one of the best buffets around, offering a wide variety of foods and desserts at a very reasonable price. The spacious setting makes it suitable for all group sizes, and the addition of a huge gift shop below the restaurant enhances the overall experience. Breakfast or lunch are the way to go, and many guests find it worth every penny, making it a good choice for celebrations like birthdays.
