My wife and I ate here while we were visiting Pittsburgh and the food is absolutely delicious. My wife got the lasagna while I got the chicken parm and both dishes were absolutely spectacular. My wife is still raving about the lasagna, saying it's the best she's ever had. The service is great, the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and take care of you like you are apart of the family. Highly recommend!

I haven't been in East Mckeesport for 15 years, and, I remembered Rene's. Thanks to the family that has kept it "the way Rene would have wanted it." Just finished the leftovers after I drove back to the center of the state.
I've forgotten her name, but, the 70-year old waitress, who's been working there for 38 years, is just as nice and quick as ever.
She's as nice and natural as could be.
It made our visit even...
